Custom enchanting adds server-made enchants on top of the vanilla ones: effects such as vein mining, auto-selling, life steal, double drops or fall protection that live on your sword, armor, pickaxe, fishing rod and other gear. You do not use an enchanting table for them. You spend XP in the enchant shop, turn the result into a book and apply the book to an item.
Custom enchanting is available in Skyblock, Prison, Lifesteal and Survival. The mechanics are the same everywhere; each mode has its own enchant list, prices and rarities.
How it works#
- Buy a rune. Open the enchant shop with
/enchantshop(alias/ce), pick a rarity and pay the XP price. A rune gives a random enchant of its rarity. - Open the rune. Right-click the rune while holding it. You receive an enchanted book with a random enchant of that rarity. The book shows its target (which items it fits) and a success and a destroy rate.
- Reveal the level. Runes give books with an unknown level (shown as a range such as I - V). Right-click the book to reveal the level. A revealed level cannot be rerolled.
- Improve the odds (optional). Mystery Dust raises the success rate of a book by 1% to 20% per piece. A Golden Scroll makes a book succeed every time.
- Apply the book. In your own inventory, pick the book up and click an item that fits its target. On success the item gains the enchant. On failure the book breaks and the item is unchanged.
- Undo or recover. A Black Scroll removes a custom enchant from an item. In Lifesteal an Extraction Scroll moves an enchant back into a book. Books you do not need can be salvaged for XP.

Items used in custom enchanting#
| Item | What it does | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Rune | Turns into a random enchant book of one rarity | Enchant shop; some crates |
| Enchanted Book | Carries one custom enchant, level and success chance | Runes; crates and other rewards |
| Mystery Dust | Adds 1% to 20% success chance to a book | Enchant shop |
| Golden Scroll | Guarantees a book to succeed | Crate rewards in Skyblock and Lifesteal |
| Black Scroll | Removes a custom enchant from an item | Enchant shop; crate rewards in Skyblock and Lifesteal |
| Extraction Scroll | Moves an enchant from an item into a book (Lifesteal only) | Crates and the mystery vault in Lifesteal |
Rarities#
Every custom enchant has a rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, KOTH or Exclusive. The rarity decides which rune the enchant can come from and what that rune costs. Exclusive enchants belong to limited-time crate sets and cannot come from runes. See Enchant Rarities and Exclusive Enchants.
Rules of thumb#
- An item can hold each custom enchant once, and there is no fixed cap on how many different custom enchants an item can carry, as long as the item type fits and the enchants do not conflict. See Enchant Targets for which items each enchant type fits.
- You apply books by dragging them onto an item in your own inventory (not inside a chest or other container).
- Enchant alerts in chat announce rune purchases, rune results and book reveals. You can switch them off in
/options.
