Netherite is a free Minecraft network where Java Edition and Bedrock Edition players share the same servers. You connect to one address, land in a hub, and pick a gamemode. Your progress in each gamemode is separate, while your account, messages and website profile follow you everywhere.
How the pieces fit#
| Piece | What it is | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Address | connect.netherite.gg for everyone, plus a direct address for each gamemode. | Connecting to Netherite |
| Hub | The safe spawn area every player arrives in. It has the Server Selector and Hub Selector items. | Getting Started in the Hub |
| Gamemodes | Skyblock, Prison, Lifesteal and Survival, each with its own economy, progression and season. | Servers and Gamemodes |
| Lobbies | Short waiting areas in front of each gamemode, used during restarts. | Mode Lobbies |
| Account | Your website login, Discord link and profile. | Your Netherite Account |
| Voting | Daily rewards for voting for the server. | Voting |
| Support | Tickets, reports, punishments and appeals. | Support and Help |
Moving around#
You move between the hub and gamemodes with the Server Selector, the /hub command, and the mode's own address. Details are in Switching Servers and Network Commands. If a server stops, the network moves you to a hub instead of disconnecting you.
Talking to other players#
- Public chat works inside each gamemode (Chat).
- Private messages work across the whole network (Private Messaging).
- Following and friends are managed on the website (Friends and Following).
- There is no party system. See Playing With Other Players for ways to team up.
What is shared and what is separate#
- Shared across the network: your account and name, gems, your website profile, private messages and the block list, punishments and your Discord link.
- Separate per gamemode: your inventory, progress and in-game money, because each gamemode has its own world and season.
Starting out#
New players should read Getting Started on Netherite. Common questions are answered in Network FAQ.
