The Netherite economy is a set of connected systems for earning, spending and moving value: money, the premium currency gems, the shop, the auction house, trading, chest shops, player vaults, mystery vaults and the store. Most of these run on every gamemode but behave a little differently on each one.
How value works across the network#
- Money is separate in every gamemode. Your Skyblock, Lifesteal, Survival and Prison balances are four different balances, and none converts into another.
- Gems are shared. One gem balance follows you everywhere. Gems are bought on the website and spent in the store, on the auction house, in trades and as chest shop prices.
- Some gamemodes add their own currencies. Prison has tokens, beacons and sewer shards, and Survival has mob points. They stay in their gamemode.
See Currencies for the full list and where each currency can be used.

Differences worth knowing:
- Survival's shop is mostly sell-only. You buy most items from other players through chest shops and their directory. Spawners (for mob points) and a few custom blocks are the exceptions the server sells you.
- Prison's shop is mostly buy-only. Only a few decoration items can be sold back, and
/sellon Prison sells your mining backpack instead (Backpack and Autosell). - Prison uses tokens. Prison's auction house, trades and chest shops use tokens and gems instead of money.
- Prison has no money notes. Prison progression resets balances, so
/withdrawis switched off there. - Skyblock's auction house fee is 3%, compared with 1% on the other gamemodes.

- Swap goods safely with Trading, or open a chest shop to sell around the clock.
- Look at the store and gems when you want a rank or crate keys. Check Donor Ranks for what ranks give you.
