The Suggestions page is the community idea board: any signed-in player can post a suggestion for a game mode, other players vote and comment, and the staff and developers reply and move it through a status as it is reviewed, planned and built. Implemented ideas can show up in the The Changelog.
Open Community > Suggestions, headed Suggestions ("Suggest changes and vote on ideas."). Reading is open to everyone. Posting, voting, commenting and following need a signed-in account (Signing In to the Website); signed-out visitors see Sign in to suggest and "Sign in to vote on suggestions."
Browse and find ideas#
Each card in the list shows the suggestion number, its server, the title and the start of the description, the author, the status, the score (upvotes minus downvotes), the comment count and the last activity, plus Staff replied and Dev replied tags and a lock icon where they apply. Tools:
| Tool | Options |
|---|---|
| Search suggestions... | Words in the title or description |
| Server | All servers or one game mode |
| Status buttons | All plus Open, Under review, Planned, In progress, Implemented, Declined and Duplicate, each with its count |
| Sort | Newest first (default unless the site sets another), Top voted, Recent activity, Oldest first |
| More filters | Minimum score, Created from and Created to dates |
| Following only | Signed-in players only: shows the suggestions you follow |
An empty result says "No suggestions found"; Clear Filters resets the search.
Post a suggestion#
- Click Share an idea (or Submit First Suggestion on an empty board). The form is headed New Suggestion and shows the name you are posting as.
- Fill in Suggestion Title: 8 to 150 characters, for example "Add Auto-Sort Chests to Skyblock". Keep it clear and descriptive.
- Under Target Server / Mode, pick where the change should take effect.
- Write the Detailed Description: at least 20 and at most 5,000 characters. Markdown is supported. Explain what should be added or changed, why it matters and how it helps gameplay.
- Optionally add Attachments (Optional): up to 10 files, 25 MB each, images, videos, PDF or text.
- Click Publish Suggestion. It is published for voting straight away, and the site says "Suggestion created successfully!"
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Suggestions you can post | 3 per hour |
| Title | 8 to 150 characters |
| Description | 20 to 5,000 characters |
| Attachments | 10 files, 25 MB each |
| File uploads | 20 per hour |
Titles and descriptions go through a text filter; a suggestion that breaks it is rejected. Do not use it to report players or bugs: use Support Tickets on the Website for those.
Voting, following and commenting#
On a suggestion's page:
- Upvote and Downvote buttons sit either side of the Score (upvotes minus downvotes), with the up and down totals below the description. Clicking your own vote again retracts it. If the team switches off downvotes only the upvote button shows, and if vote changes are switched off the site says "You cannot change or retract your vote."
- Follow Updates subscribes you: you are told when staff reply or the status changes. The button then reads Following; click again to unfollow.
- Comments appear under Discussion. Write yours and click Post Comment, or Reply under a comment to answer it; up to 2,000 characters, at most 10 comments per minute. Edit or Delete your own comments while the board allows it; a deleted comment shows "[Comment deleted by author]" and an edited one shows "(edited)".
- Staff and developers are marked with Staff Team and Developer badges. When staff change the status they can add a Staff Status Note explaining it.
- A Locked suggestion cannot take new comments ("Comments are locked on this suggestion."). If an idea was merged into another it says "This suggestion was merged into ..." with a link.
- When the idea has shipped and is linked to an update, View in Changelog opens it (The Changelog).
Statuses#
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Open | Posted and open for votes |
| Under review | Staff are looking at it |
| Planned | Accepted for later |
| In progress | Being built |
| Implemented | Done and live |
| Declined | Will not be done; staff can add a status note with the reason |
| Duplicate | Merged into another suggestion; its votes and comments can be copied over |
You get a Social notification when your suggestion changes status, gets a staff reply or is merged into another one; followers are told about status changes and staff replies (Website Notifications).
Tips#
- Search before posting: duplicates are merged and only slow things down.
- One focused idea per suggestion, with the problem it solves.
- Vote on ideas you want: the Top voted sort shows what the community cares about most.
