Events

The /events menu shows which events are live and when the next ones start. On Skyblock, Farming, Fishing and Mining events run automatically and pay event crate keys to the top 3.

Available on Skyblock, Prison, Lifesteal and Survival.

Events are timed competitions and PvP events. /events opens an overview of the events on your gamemode: which one is running now and how long until the next one starts. On Skyblock, Farming, Fishing and Mining events run on a fixed rotation; the top 3 players of each win event crate keys.

The /events menu#

/events opens the Events menu. It is for information only: the items show a status, they do not start anything when clicked.

ItemEventDetails
WheatFarming EventHarvest crops while the event runs
Diamond PickaxeMining EventMine ores while the event runs
Fishing RodFishing EventCatch fish while the event runs
ChestEnvoyCrates drop across the PvP area; see Envoy
Golden HelmetKOTHCapture and hold the hill; see KOTH and Outposts

Each item ends with one of two status lines:

  • ● Active now with a timer: the event is running, and the timer shows the time it has left.
  • ○ Next starts in with a timer: the time until the next scheduled start.

An event that is neither running nor scheduled on your gamemode is left out of the menu. Envoy and KOTH appear on servers where those PvP events run.

What runs where#

SkyblockAutomatic, every 12 hoursAutomatic, every 12 hoursAutomatic, every 12 hoursYes
PrisonNot scheduledNot scheduledNot scheduledNo
LifestealNot scheduledNot scheduledNot scheduledYes
SurvivalNot scheduledNot scheduledNot scheduledYes

On Prison, Lifesteal and Survival the Farming, Fishing and Mining events have no automatic schedule; they only appear in /events if staff start one by hand.

Skyblock schedule#

EventLengthRepeats everyOrder
Farming Event5 minutes12 hoursFirst
Fishing Event5 minutes12 hours4 hours after Farming
Mining Event5 minutes12 hours4 hours after Fishing

The three events are spaced 4 hours apart, so a Skyblock event starts roughly every 4 hours. Start times are not fixed clock times; check /events for the countdown. Only one of these events can run at a time. If another one is still running when an event is due, that start is skipped until its next turn 12 hours later.

How the competition works#

  1. When an event starts, chat announces it, for example "A farming event has started!" or "A mining event has started! Mine ores to earn points and win rewards!".
  2. While it runs, every scoring block you break or fish you catch adds points to your score.
  3. Every minute, chat shows the current top 3: "The farming event is active, current top 3 players:" followed by 1. Player (score) lines.
  4. When the time is up, chat shows "The farming event has ended! Top 3 players:" with the final top 3.
  5. The top 3 players receive their rewards.

Skyblock rewards#

The same rewards apply to all three events.

Scoring on Skyblock#

Farming Event#

CropPoints per block
Wheat1
Carrots2
Potatoes2
Beetroots2
Sugar Cane1
Bamboo1
Melon2
Pumpkin2
Cocoa1
Nether Wart1
  • Crops only score when fully grown. Sugar cane and bamboo score at any height, and melons and pumpkins always count.
  • A crop block placed by a player in the last 30 seconds does not score, so placing a melon or pumpkin and breaking it again earns nothing.

Fishing Event#

CatchPoints
Cod (raw or cooked)1
Salmon (raw or cooked)1
Pufferfish2
Tropical Fish3

Only fish count. Treasure and junk catches score nothing.

Mining Event#

Copper Ore, Deepslate Copper Ore1

Lapis Lazuli Ore, Deepslate Lapis Lazuli Ore3
Diamond Ore, Deepslate Diamond Ore5
Emerald Ore, Deepslate Emerald Ore8

Ore blocks that a player placed within the last day do not score; only naturally generated ores count.

Tips#

  • Keep /events handy: the countdown tells you when to be on your island with crops grown, a fishing rod ready or a pickaxe at the ores.
  • Grow crops to full size before a Farming Event starts so you can harvest the moment it opens.
  • Stay online until the end message; leaving early forfeits a top-3 reward.
