A Black Scroll removes one custom enchant from an item. You choose which enchant to remove from a menu. The enchant is lost: unlike the Extraction Scroll it does not give you a book back.
How to get it#
- Enchant shop. Buy it for XP in the enchant shop.
- Crate rewards. Black Scrolls can appear in crates in Skyblock and Lifesteal.
| Mode | Shop price |
|---|---|
| Skyblock | 1,200 XP |
| Prison | 3,000 XP |
| Lifesteal | 600 XP |
| Survival | 3,000 XP |
How to use it#
- Open your own inventory.
- Pick up the scroll with your cursor and click the item that carries the enchant you want to remove. If the item has no removable custom enchants the game says "This item has no custom enchants to remove." and keeps the scroll.
- A menu titled "Enchant Selection" lists the custom enchants on the item. Click the one to remove.
- The enchant is removed from the item, the item returns to your inventory and the scroll is used up.
- If you close the menu without choosing, nothing is removed, the item comes back unchanged and you get the scroll back.
What it can and cannot remove#
- It removes custom enchants only. Vanilla enchants such as Sharpness or Unbreaking are not offered.
- Enchants from limited-time exclusive sets are not offered either, so they stay on the item.
- It removes the whole enchant, whatever its level.
Notes#
- Use it to make room for a better enchant or to change a level: an item can hold each enchant only once, so you remove the old one first and then apply a new book.
- Check the enchant you pick: there is no confirmation after you click an entry.
