Privacy Policy

Who we are

This policy explains how Netherite ("we", "us") collects and uses data when you use our website, our Minecraft network, and our Discord application (the Netherite bot and Discord login). It applies in our main, staff, and development Discord servers and anywhere else the application is installed.

What we collect

• Account & sign-in data. When you sign in to our website with your Microsoft account we receive your Minecraft profile (UUID and username) to verify ownership. We never see your password. You can also authenticate with a short-lived code generated in-game.
• Discord account data. When you connect Discord through the website we use Discord's OAuth with the minimal identify scope, which gives us your Discord user ID, username, and avatar. We do not request access to your email, messages, or friends list.
• Account link records. Linking creates a record of your Discord user ID, your Minecraft UUID, when the link was made, and whether you chose to display your Discord handle publicly (hidden by default).
• Server membership data. In our own Discord servers the bot processes member information such as your roles and server-boost status to keep roles in sync with your in-game ranks and to grant boost rewards.
• Bot interactions. We process the content of commands and interactions you send to the bot (for example a link code) in order to respond to them.

The bot does not read, log, or store general chat messages in Discord servers, and it cannot read your direct messages — it only sends you notifications you have opted into.

How we use your data

• Verifying and linking your Minecraft, website, and Discord accounts.
• Synchronizing your in-game ranks to your roles in our Discord servers.
• Granting in-game rewards for boosting our Discord servers.
• Sending you service notifications by direct message, such as private messages received while you were offline or updates on your tickets, appeals, and applications.
• Operating our support, appeal, suggestion, and staff application systems.
• Moderation, abuse prevention, and keeping the network secure.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Data is shared only with Discord itself (as the platform the application runs on) and with the infrastructure providers that host our services on our behalf, or when we are legally required to do so.

Retention

Link records are kept for as long as your accounts are linked. In-game link codes expire automatically shortly after they are created. Support, moderation, and reward records are kept for as long as they are needed to operate the network.

Your choices

• Unlink your Discord account at any time with the /unlink command or from your account settings. Unlinking deletes the link record.
• Your Discord handle is only shown on your public profile if you explicitly enable it.
• Manage message privacy and blocked players from your account settings.
• Leaving our Discord servers stops any further processing of your server membership data.
• To request a copy or deletion of your data, open a support ticket or contact us on Discord.

Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required by Discord in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our website or Discord server, and the effective date above will be updated.
