The Gem Vault is a lifetime reward program for gem purchases. Your total spend on gem packs is added up for the whole life of your account, and every time that total crosses a level you are paid a one-time bonus in gems. Progress is saved to your account, so it is the same on every device and every gamemode.
How it works#
- What counts. Completed gem pack purchases on the website store. The amount counted is the price you actually paid after discounts and coupons, before tax.
- Currency. Progress is tracked in US dollars. The website shows it in Vault gems: one Vault gem for every cent you spend, so $10 is 1,000 Vault gems.
- What does not count. Bonus gems that come with large packs or promotions are credited to you, but they never add Vault progress. Only the money you spend does.
- Each level pays once. A level is paid the first time you reach it and never again. If one purchase crosses several levels, you are paid every level you passed.
- Automatic. The bonus is added to your gem balance on its own. There is nothing to claim.
- Kept rewards. Bonuses you have already been paid are kept.

In-game messages#
When you reach a level you get a message in chat with the level number and the bonus, and the level-up is also announced to other players. Once you have bought at least one gem pack, and until you reach Legacy, the game sends you a reminder every 15 minutes while you are online that tells you how far away your next level is and what it pays.
You can switch these Vault messages off in your settings menu. The option affects only the level-up announcement and the reminder, not the bonus itself.
Tips#
- A single large purchase and several small ones add up the same way, so there is no advantage to splitting or combining packs for the ladder.
- Spark pays 100 bonus gems for your first $10, which is 10% on top of the 1,000 gems that $10 buys at the base rate.
- Check your progress on the website store, where the ladder shows your level and what is left to the next one.
