Connection Troubleshooting

What the join and kick messages mean and how to fix them, from an outdated client to a login that is already active.

This page lists the messages players see when they cannot join Netherite or get disconnected, and what to do about each.

Messages when you try to join#

MessageMeaningWhat to do
Your client is outdated. We only support 1.21.4+You are on a Java version older than 1.21.4.Update Minecraft Java Edition, or select a newer version in your launcher.
Your account is already connected to the network. or You are already on the network!A session with your name is still active, for example from a crash or a second device. The new login is refused so the old one is not dropped.Close the other session. If you crashed, wait a minute and try again.
Your previous connection is still being processed, please wait a moment. The network has not finished closing your last session yet.Wait a few seconds and reconnect.
There are no servers you can be connected to.No hub is available right now.Wait a few minutes and try again. Check Discord for announcements.
A banned or blacklisted screenYou are punished.See Punishments and Punishment Appeals.

In the server list, an unsupported client shows its version followed by "is not supported" instead of the normal description.

Messages after you join#

Message or eventMeaningWhat to do
Teleporting...A server switch started.Wait a moment.
You are already switching servers.A previous switch request is still running.Wait for it to finish.
Server not found. It is likely rebooting. The mode you chose is restarting.Try again in a few minutes.
The server is rebooting / You will be moved shortlyYou are in a mode lobby during a restart.Wait. You are sent back automatically.
You land in the hub after being disconnected from a modeThe mode you were on stopped, and the network moved you to a hub instead of disconnecting you.Pick the mode again from the Server Selector.
Synchronization failure! Please join again!Your session got out of sync with the network and you were disconnected.Reconnect.

Bedrock and console#

  • Use port 19132 with the address connect.netherite.gg. A wrong or missing port is the most common cause of "unable to connect to world". See Joining on Bedrock Edition.
  • On Xbox or PlayStation the phone app must stay open and on the same Wi-Fi as the console (Joining from Xbox or PlayStation).
  • Bedrock names start with a dot. If you are looking for yourself in a player list or ticket, use .YourGamertag.

Resource pack problems#

Custom items looking like vanilla items, or a menu that looks wrong, usually means the pack was declined. See Server Resource Pack.

Still stuck#

  1. Restart the game and reconnect.
  2. Try the main address connect.netherite.gg instead of a mode address.
  3. Check the status of the network on the website's uptime page.
  4. Open a ticket (Support Tickets) or ask on Discord (Contacting Staff). Include the exact message you saw, your edition (Java or Bedrock) and your Minecraft version.
