The Marketplace is where Netherite players trade cosmetics with each other. Every skin, tag, chat colour, kill tag, join message, particle trail, arrow trail, backmount, hat, pet, kill effect and piece of furniture that exists can be listed, bought, offered on, gifted and collected. All prices are in gems, whole numbers only, the network's premium currency (Gems).
The Marketplace section of the website is the full trading desk. The same market is reachable in game with /cosmeticmarket (aliases /cmarket and /skin-market), which opens browse, sell, listings, offers, buy orders, watchlist and gift menus. The collection browser opens from Explore collections on the Marketplace home, and players are found with the site search (Site Search and Player Search). Item price charts for the in-game shop are a separate page (Market Data Pages).
Before you trade#
- Sign in. Browsing is open to everyone. Buying, selling, offering and gifting need an account (Signing In to the Website), and the My Items and Offers & Orders menus only appear once you are signed in. A signed-out visitor gets a "Log in to trade" window after scrolling or about 10 seconds, listing what signing in unlocks: buy and sell cosmetics, make and manage offers, create listings and loans, and save items to a wishlist. Once that window is closed, a "You're browsing trade as a guest" reminder with a Log in button stays on screen.
- Hold gems. Your gem balance is shown in the top bar. If you are short when you try to buy, the buy dialog offers Top up gems and returns you to the purchase afterwards (The Gem Vault and The Website Store).
- Be in good standing. An active ban or blacklist blocks all trading, including offers, sales and purchases, until it ends or is pardoned. A red banner reads "Your account is restricted from trading" with the expiry (or "Permanent"), and buttons show Trading Restricted. The other player's standing counts too: offers, gifts and accepted offers are refused when the other side is banned or blacklisted, although a banned seller's existing listings can still be bought. Mutes and warnings do not block trading.
Live stats#
The Marketplace home opens with a Market Pulse strip:

A Live Activity feed beside it lists sales (including accepted direct offers), new listings, price changes, removed or expired listings and gifts as they happen, and refreshes every 10 seconds.
