Your Netherite account is your Minecraft profile on the network. There is nothing to register: the first time you join the server, your profile is created from your Minecraft login. You then use the same profile to sign in to the website, to link Discord and to appeal punishments.
One profile per edition#
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition players have separate profiles because they have different identities in game. Bedrock names appear with a leading dot, for example .PlayerName. If your Microsoft account has played on both editions, the website asks which one you want to use when you sign in. See Signing In to the Website.
What your account connects#
| Part | What it does | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Website sign-in | Lets you open your profile, messages, friends list, tickets and the store with your own identity. | Signing In to the Website |
| Discord link | Connects your Discord user to your Minecraft profile so your in-game ranks appear as Discord roles. | Linking Your Discord Account |
| Discord boosting | Shows whether you boost the Discord server. | Discord Boosting |
| Profile and leaderboards | Your public player page. | Player Profiles |
| Settings | Notification, privacy and Discord options on the website. | Account Settings |
Before you can sign in#
You must have joined the server at least once, on the edition you want to use. If you have not, the website tells you: "You need to join the server at least once before you can use the trade site." Join first with Connecting to Netherite, then sign in.
What is shared across the network#
Your account is shared by all gamemodes and the hub. It carries your name, Discord link, punishments, private messages and block list. Gamemode progress is separate for each mode. See The Netherite Network.
Keeping your account safe#
- The website only uses your Microsoft sign-in to confirm your Xbox Live identity and that you own Minecraft. It never receives your Microsoft password.
- A login code from the in-game
/web logincommand is private. Anyone who has it can sign in as you. The game warns you not to share it. - If you think someone used your code, run
/web logoutin game to end all your website sessions. See Signing In to the Website.
