Selling puts one of your cosmetics up for a fixed price in gems. While it is listed the cosmetic is held by the Marketplace and leaves your collection; it comes back to you if you remove the listing or if the listing expires unsold. When someone buys it, you are paid the price minus the sale fee.
List a cosmetic#
- Open My Items > Collection (Your Collection, Loadouts and Wishlist).
- Find the cosmetic and click Sell.
- Read the Market Context panel: the Lowest Listing, number of Active Listings, the Avg. Listed Price and Total Owners. For skins with enchants there is also a Price by Enchant Config breakdown. When nobody has listed it yet it says "You'll be setting the first price!"
- Type Your Price as a whole number of gems (at least 1).
- Check the hints under the box:
- how your price compares with the current lowest listing ("N% above ... it may take longer to sell", "N% below ... it should sell quickly!" or "matches"),
- You will receive X after the Y sale fee (1%), or "Your sale fee is waived" if your account is exempt.
- Click List for <price>. The site confirms "Cosmetic has been listed on the marketplace!"
The dialog also reminds you that listings automatically expire after 30 days and the cosmetic then returns to your inventory.
Price and fee#
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Price | Whole gems, minimum 1, at most 10,000,000 |
| Sale fee | 1% of the price, rounded up, minimum 1 gem, never more than the price |
| Who pays | The seller. The buyer pays exactly the listed price |
| Exempt accounts | Some accounts pay no fee; the sell dialog shows the full amount instead |
Worked examples:
| Listed at | Fee | You receive |
|---|---|---|
| 4,000 gems | 40 | 3,960 |
| 250 gems | 3 (2.5 rounded up) | 247 |
| 50 gems | 1 (the minimum) | 49 |
| 1 gem | 1 (capped at the price) | 0 |
When a cosmetic cannot be listed#
| Message | Why |
|---|---|
| You don't own this cosmetic anymore! | It already left your collection (sold, gifted, put up as loan collateral or removed elsewhere). |
| Price must be a whole number of Gems. | The price box only takes whole gems of at least 1; Create listing stays disabled until the price is valid. |
| Please wait a moment before creating another listing | You listed, changed a price or made an offer on a listing within the last 3 seconds. |
| This furniture is currently placed. Recall it to your wardrobe first. | Placed furniture must be picked up in game before it can be sold. |
| Your account is restricted from trading due to an active punishment. | Active ban or blacklist. |
Prices above 10,000,000 gems are refused.
Manage your listings#
Open My Items > My Listings. The heading reads "You have N active listings." and a search box filters by name. Each listing is a card with three controls:
- View Offers (N): opens the pending offers on this listing (Making Offers on Listings). For each you see the buyer, the offer, and the fee note, with Accept and Decline.
- Edit Listing: set a new price and click Update ("Listing updated!"). Prices follow the same rules as a new listing (whole gems, at most 10,000,000) and share the same 3-second pause. The button stays disabled until the price actually changes.
- Remove: takes the listing down immediately, with no confirmation, and returns the cosmetic to your collection ("Listing removed!"). Each card also shows "Selling for:" with the current price.
Editing a price keeps your listing's age, so it still expires 30 days after it was first created. Changing a price makes buyers who loaded the old page see "This listing has changed. Please reload the page." instead of paying the old price.
Statuses of a listing#
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Visible to buyers; on the cosmetic's page it shows a countdown such as "expires in 12d", "expires tomorrow" or "expires in 5h" (highlighted when 3 days or less remain) |
| Sold | A buyer paid; you received the price minus the fee and the cosmetic moved to the buyer |
| Removed or expired | The cosmetic is back in your collection |
Expired listings are cleaned up every 5 minutes, so one can briefly show "expired" before it disappears.
What happens when it sells#
- The buyer's gems are taken and the cosmetic moves to the buyer.
- You receive the price minus the sale fee in your gem balance.
- The sale is announced to players online in game chat and in the community Discord, naming you as the seller, and appears in the Live Activity feed and on the cosmetic's price history (Browsing the Marketplace).
Sales are final: you cannot undo a completed sale.
Tips#
- Compare against Lowest Listing and the buy orders panel on the cosmetic's page: a standing buy order at a good price sells your cosmetic as soon as you list it (Buying on the Marketplace).
- You can gift a cosmetic instead of selling it; gifting has no fee (Your Collection, Loadouts and Wishlist).
