Lending means paying a borrower's requested gems and earning interest when they repay, with their cosmetics held as security. If the borrower never repays, you receive the cosmetics instead of gems. Use this page together with Loan Risks and Defaults.
Browsing proposals is open to everyone. To fund a loan you must be signed in and not under an active ban or blacklist.
Browse proposals#
Open Marketplace > Loans > Browse Loans. The top shows market pulse numbers (active proposals, total requested, average interest, typical term) and a three-step explainer: Browse proposals (collateral is locked until repaid), Fund & earn, and Claim or cash out (if the borrower defaults the collateral is yours).
Below that, rails pick out proposals worth a look:
| Rail | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Expiring soon | Up to 3 proposals that vanish within 24 hours, soonest first. Proposals only last 1 day, so every open one qualifies |
| Highest yield | Up to 6 of the highest interest rates, from borrowers with a score of at least 30% or no history yet |
| Low risk | Up to 6 borrowers with repayment history and a score of at least 60%, best first |
| Fresh proposals | Up to 6, newest first |
Browse all proposals lists what is open, up to 24 cards, drawn from the 50 newest proposals. Tools:
- Search by borrower... by name.
- Sort: Newest first, Highest interest, Lowest amount, Ending soon.
- Expiring soon button: only proposals that end within 6 hours.
- Range filters: minimum and maximum amount in gems, minimum and maximum duration in days.
- Clear all filters resets the view. The rails hide while filters are active.
Each proposal card shows the borrower, the amount, the interest, the duration, up to three collateral cosmetics, the borrower's credit score (a percentage with loans repaid and defaulted on hover, or a New badge with "No loan history"), an Expires in countdown and the potential earnings at the full rate.
Judge a proposal#
Click View Details on a card to open the Loan Proposal page. It collects everything you need:
- Key terms: Amount, Interest, Duration and the number of Collateral items, plus the borrower's note under Description.
- Collateral: the cosmetics that transfer to you on default, with an estimated value for each taken from the lowest current marketplace price. Coverage is labelled Strong coverage (estimated value at least twice the loan), Adequate coverage (1 to 2 times), Under-collateralized (below the loan) or Unpriced (none of the items is listed, so they cannot be priced). Estimates are not a guaranteed resale price.
- Borrower: a link to their profile and their credit score, loans repaid and loans defaulted. Badges flag a First-time borrower ("This player hasn't borrowed before. There's no repayment history to evaluate."), a Trusted borrower (score above 80% and at least 5 loans repaid) and a Risky one (at least one default).
- Investment summary and Repayment projection: principal, maximum interest and total return, with a timeline from today to the due date.
- Similar proposals: other open proposals within 25% of this one's amount and duration.
Fund a loan#
- On the proposal page click Fund this loan. Signed-out visitors see "Sign in to fund this loan". You cannot fund your own proposal; on your own you see "This is your proposal. Manage it from your proposals page."
- In Fund This Loan? check "You will pay", the interest rate, the loan duration, Maximum return and Potential profit.
- Read the warning: if the borrower fails to repay by the due date, you receive their collateral item(s) instead of a cash repayment.
- Click Confirm & Fund <amount>. The site says "Loan funded successfully!" and takes you to My Investments.
The full requested amount is taken from your gems at once. The loan starts immediately and is announced to players online in game chat and in the community Discord.
| Message | Meaning |

| This proposal has expired. | Its 1 day ran out. |
| This proposal is no longer available. | Another lender funded it first, or it was cancelled or already closed as expired. |
| You don't have enough funds to cover this loan. | Your gem balance is below the amount. |
| The borrower has reached their maximum number of active loans. | They already owe 5 loans. |
My Investments#
Loans > My Investments tracks loans you funded. Four figures sit at the top: Outstanding (principal across your active loans), Expected Return (the projected interest on your active loans), Loans Funded (with active, repaid and defaulted counts) and Default Exposure (the total amount of your loans that defaulted). Below them are three tabs.
- Overview: Upcoming Repayments (the due dates of your active loans, "Just overdue" or, for example, "2h overdue" when late), Performance (a Cumulative Realized P/L chart that appears once loans complete) and Portfolio by Credit Tier (how many loans and how many gems you lent to strong borrowers with a score of 70 to 100, mid-tier 40 to 70, high-risk 0 to 40, and first-time borrowers).
- Active (N): one card per running loan with the borrower and their score, the amount, the profit at the full rate, the collateral count (expand to see the cosmetics), the time until due and the expected return.
- History: a table of finished loans with Borrower, Principal, Realized P/L, Date and Outcome. A defaulted loan counts the whole amount as a loss, marked "(+collateral)" because you received the cosmetics instead.
| Status | Where | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| ACTIVE | Active tab | Running; shows days, hours and minutes until due |
| AWAITING DEFAULT | Active tab | Past the due date and waiting for the automatic check (every minute) |
| REPAID | History tab | You were paid principal plus interest |
| DEFAULTED | History tab | The borrower did not repay; the collateral was added to your collection |
How you are paid#
- The borrower can repay at any time; the earlier they do, the less interest you earn, but never less than 10% of the full-term interest (The Loan Marketplace has the formula and a worked example).
- At the due date the system repays on the borrower's behalf if they have enough gems, and you are paid the principal plus interest.
- You get no personal message when a loan is repaid or defaults; watch My Investments or the announcements in game chat and on the Discord.
- If they cannot cover it, the loan defaults and the cosmetics are added to your collection. You do not receive gems in that case.
Tips#
- Prefer Strong coverage collateral with a borrower who has repaid before: the worst case is then a cosmetic worth more than your loan.
- Spread several smaller loans instead of one big one, and watch Default Exposure.
- Short loans lock your gems for less time, but the 10% minimum interest means very early repayment pays little.
