Community features are the parts of Netherite that bring players together across the whole network. You can put up Gems for a giveaway, send a shout that every server reads, keep up with every update through the changelog, and win prizes in chat games. Giveaways, shouts and the changelog work the same on the hub, Skyblock, Prison, Lifesteal and Survival.

Giveaways#
Any player can start a giveaway of their own Gems with /giveaway start: choose a pot of at least 200 Gems and 1 to 50 winners. Everyone online gets one minute to enter with /giveaway join, one entry per player and per IP address. Winners are drawn at random and share the pot after a 1% fee; if too few players enter, the pot is refunded in full. /giveaway history shows past giveaways and their winners. Full details: Giveaways.
Shouts#
/shout <message> sends your message to every player on every server, posted three times in a row. A shout costs 50 Gems, has no cooldown, and asks you to confirm before you pay. Muted players cannot shout, and messages with profanity are refused. Full details: Shouts.
Changelog#
/changelog opens the Updates menu with every published update, newest first. Unread updates are marked NEW, cards show the category, summary, key points, gamemodes and view and like counts, and clicking one opens it as a book. You can also read and search updates in chat. New updates can be announced in chat when they go live, and a join reminder tells you how many updates came out since you last looked. Full details: Changelog.
Chat games#
On Skyblock, Prison, Lifesteal and Survival a typing game starts in public chat every 5 minutes: guess the number, repeat, reverse, unscramble or fill in the blanks. The first correct answer wins a prize from that gamemode's reward list. Chat waves pay money to everyone who types GG after a store purchase or Welcome when a new player joins, and staff run chat giveaways you enter with /joingiveaway. Full details: Chat Games.
