Every cosmetic is owned by your account. You receive it as a voucher item, redeem it once, and from then on you equip it from a menu on any gamemode. This page explains the parts that all cosmetic families share. Families are listed on Cosmetics.
Vouchers and redeeming#
- Crates, events and other players give cosmetics as voucher items: a named item with the lore "Right click to redeem".
- Right-click the voucher to redeem it. The voucher is used up and you see "Cosmetic has been redeemed". The cosmetic is now in your account and appears in the menu of its family. Redeeming does not equip it; equip it yourself.
- Vouchers cannot be placed, used on mobs or renamed with. Right-clicking entities with a voucher is blocked.
- A voucher can be handed to another player, traded (Trading) or sold on the cosmetic marketplace (Cosmetic Marketplace) until it is redeemed.
- You can own more than one copy of the same cosmetic. The collections menu shows how many copies you have.

Each family command also takes a player name (/hats <player>) to look at what that player owns.
The shared menu layout#
Almost every family uses the same three-step menu:
- Main menu with three buttons: Preview all (every cosmetic of the family and how many players own it; click one to see the owners), My <family> (what you own) and Find Other Players (type a player name to view theirs).
- My <family> lists your cosmetics with a Search button (spyglass) to filter by name. Submit an empty box to clear the search.
- Clicking one of your cosmetics opens its window with three buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Apply (Equip, Apply Skin, Apply Kill Tag ...) | Equips the cosmetic. Equipping a new one in the same family replaces the old one |
| Remove | Unequips it |
| Extract | Turns the cosmetic back into a voucher item you can trade or sell, after a confirmation window |
Tags have only Preview All Tags and My Tags; there is no player search.
If you stop owning an equipped cosmetic (you extract it or sell it) it is unequipped for you automatically the next time the game checks.
Cosmetic Drops (collections)#
/cosmetics opens the Cosmetic Drops menu. Each entry is a collection, shown with "X/Y collected" and a glow when you own every item. Click a collection to browse its cosmetics with the views All, Missing and Owned, preview items you do not have yet, search by name, or open the ones you own to manage them. The collections are listed on Cosmetics.
Rarity#
Cosmetics are labelled Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary or Mythic. The label is cosmetic information; how likely you are to win a cosmetic is shown in the crate tables on Crates.
Enchant Upgrade Tokens#
Skins and pets from crates carry an exclusive enchantment. An Enchant Upgrade Token raises that enchantment by one level, up to the maximum, but only on a cosmetic from the same collection as the token. Hold the skin or pet voucher in one hand and right-click the token, or click the token onto the voucher in your inventory. You see "That cosmetic's exclusive is already at max level" when there is nothing left to upgrade.
Outfit presets#
An outfit preset saves everything you currently have equipped so you can swap outfits in one click. Open /presets (aliases /outfits, /preset).
- A preset stores your tag, kill tag, kill effect, chat color, particle trail, arrow trail, pet, back mount, hat, join message, and the skins that are applied to items in your inventory.
- New Preset saves your current outfit under a name of 1 to 32 plain characters.
- Clicking a preset opens Manage Preset: Apply Preset, Rename, Overwrite (replace it with your current outfit) and Delete (your equipped cosmetics are not affected).
- Applying a preset equips the saved cosmetics and clears the slots the preset leaves empty. The result message tells you how many were equipped, cleared and skipped. A slot is skipped when you no longer own the cosmetic, your helmet slot is occupied (hats), the feature is unavailable, or no matching item is in your inventory for a saved skin.
- You can keep 5 presets. Players with the extended limit can keep 10; at the limit you see "You have reached your preset limit".
Settings that affect cosmetics#
The Options menu (Settings and Options) has Toggle Pet Visibility, Toggle own particle effects and Own Backmount Visibility. These only change what you see; other players still see your cosmetics.
Where cosmetics work#
Cosmetics are available on the hub, Skyblock, Prison, Lifesteal and Survival. A cosmetic you own works everywhere, but crates (the main source) only exist on the four gamemodes, not on the hub. Cosmetic pets are off on Prison. During staff-run free-for-all events, skins and pets are disabled.
