The Pirate Crate is a store crate with Pirate-themed cosmetics. Each key opens it for one reward: a skin for a weapon, tool or armor piece, Pirate Wings, a Pirate Parrot pet, The Kraken kill effect, or a chat cosmetic. The Pirate Crate is the same on every game mode. After the spin you can keep the reward or pay Gems to reroll it.
How to get keys#
Pirate Crate Keys have been sold in the store (Store). Packages and availability change, so check the store for what is offered now. Keys arrive in your inventory. The crate cannot be earned through prestige, rebirth or voting. The key reads "Unlock this Pirate key at /warp crates".
Opening#
The Pirate Crate can be opened anywhere: hold the key and right-click a block, or use /crate openall pirate to open up to 64 keys at once. You can also open it at the crates warp. A single key plays the Menu animation, a reel that stops on your reward. Left-click a crate block to preview. See Prison Crates for opening rules, bulk openings and delivery.
Chat announces when someone opens a Pirate Crate and announces the reward. Bulk openings are not announced and do not offer rerolls. The crate has no guaranteed rewards or milestones.
Rerolling#
After each spin a Reward menu shows the reward you landed and two buttons:
- Keep Reward claims it.
- Reroll spins again. The reroll button shows its cost and the attempt number.
A reroll removes the reward you just landed from the pool for that opening, so the new spin cannot give the same item. You can reroll up to 3 times per opening. The costs are paid in Gems (Gems):

The Gems are taken only after the new reward lands. If you do not have enough Gems you see a message and stay in the menu. After your 3rd reroll the new reward is claimed automatically. If you close the menu without choosing, it reopens a few times, and a reward you keep ignoring is kept. You see "Claimed your final crate reward." when the reward is paid out.
What it contains#
One reward per opening from a single list of 28 entries.
Rarest (1% each). Pirate Sword skin, Pirate Mace skin, Pirate Parrot pet and The Kraken kill effect.
Uncommon.
- Pirate Cutlass, Scythe, Trident, Bow, Helmet, Chestplate and Leggings skins, Pirate Wings and Pirate Wings II (back accessories): 2% each
- Pirate Dagger, Staff, Spear, Crossbow, Shield and Boots skins: 3% each
Common.
- Pirate Axe and Pickaxe skins: 5% each
- Pirate Shovel, Hoe and Fishing Rod skins: 7% each
- Pirate chat color and tag: 5% each
- Pirate join message: 9%
- Pirate kill tag: 10%

Drop table#
1 reward per opening. The key can be used anywhere. Up to 3 rerolls (899 gems, 1,349 gems, 2,099 gems).
