Plots

Your plot is a building area of your own on Prison, separate from your mine, where you build, set time and weather, run chest shops and let others visit.

A plot is a building area that belongs to you. Every Prison player has one, kept in its own world apart from the mine, so you can build in peace and show off what you made. A plot is where you decorate, set the time of day and weather, and open chest shops to sell to other players while you are away.

Getting there#

CommandWhat it does
/plotOpens the plot menu
/plot home [player]Teleports you to your plot, or to another player's plot
/plot visit <player>Teleports you to a player's plot (the same as /plot home <player>)
/plot sethomeSets where you arrive on your plot. You must be standing on your own plot
/plotsOpens the list of public plots (alias /plotdirectory)

The Your Plot button in the Prison menus also opens the plot menu; see Prison Menus. Visiting someone else's plot needs it to be open to you: public, or you are on that plot's member list. If it is not, or you are banned from the owner's mine, you see "That mine plot is not public!".

The plot menu#

/plot opens a menu with six buttons:

Size#

Your plot starts as a 40 by 40 area and grows to 90 by 90 with five token upgrades. The buildable area is marked by a ring of smooth stone slabs at its edge, and the ring moves outward when you upgrade. See Plot Size Upgrades.

Building rules#

  • On a plot, only its owner and the plot members whose role meets its Build Access setting can break and place blocks, use buckets, edit signs, open containers, and use armor stands, item frames and name tags. Anyone else sees "You don't have permissions to do this!".
  • The ground around the buildable area is decoration and cannot be built on, even by the owner: "You can only build on your plot!".
  • Chest shops are the exception for visitors: they can click a shop chest to use it without build access. Shops can only be created on a plot, by a player who can build there; anywhere else you see "You can only create chest shops on a plot!". See Chest Shops.
  • Players you banned from your mine cannot enter your plot either. See visitors and bans.

Themes#

Your plot's surroundings wear a planet theme. You start with Earth and unlock one new theme every ten prestiges. See Plot Themes.
