Slate Shatter is a Legendary enchant for Diamond Pickaxe pickaxes. A pickaxe that carries it breaks deepslate blocks instantly instead of at normal mining speed.
How to get it#
Slate Shatter comes from the Legendary rune, which costs 50,000 XP in the enchant shop. Prison's Legendary rune holds ten enchants and each is equally likely, so a given rune gives Slate Shatter about 1 time in 10. Slate Shatter has a single level, so its enchanted book comes ready at level I and only needs applying to a pickaxe.
Effect#
When you start mining a deepslate block with the enchanted pickaxe in your main hand, the block breaks at once. There is no chance roll and no cooldown, so it works every time.
The enchant counts any block with deepslate in its name:
- deepslate itself, cobbled deepslate and polished deepslate;
- deepslate bricks and tiles, with their stairs, slabs and walls;
- chiseled deepslate;
- the deepslate ores, such as deepslate coal ore and deepslate diamond ore.
The block still breaks through a normal block break, so build protection applies and the block drops what your pickaxe would normally get from it.
Notes and tips#
- Slate Shatter works on any pickaxe, so it can go on the Prison pickaxe as well. The pickaxe's own enchants are bought with tokens and are a separate system; see Pickaxe Enchants and Pickaxe Enchanting.
- Prison's mines are built from stone, ores and blocks such as coal, copper and diamond blocks. None of the mine block lists include deepslate, so the enchant gives nothing inside the mines. It only speeds up deepslate you meet or place elsewhere. See Mines.
- The other tool enchants are listed on Prison Tool Enchants.
