Starting out#
How do I get to my mine?#
Run /mine home, or click My Mine in /warps. On Bedrock Edition /mine takes you straight there. See Using Your Mine.
Where do I get a pickaxe?#
You are given one automatically the first time you join, and again if you ever log in without it. It never breaks and you cannot drop it. See The Pickaxe.
Why don't I get money when I mine?#
Mining pays tokens immediately, and the blocks go into your backpack. You turn the backpack into money with /sell, or let autosell do it. See Prison Currencies and Backpack and Autosell.
Where did my blocks go?#
Into your backpack, not your inventory. Open it with /backpack. It has no size limit on Prison, so it never fills up.
What is the daily kit?#
/kit default gives you an Explosive enchant token (+5 levels, 100% apply chance) and a Daily Tokens Booster (1.25x tokens for 15 minutes) once per day. You also receive it on your first join. See Enchant Tokens and Mystery Dust and Boosters.
Can I craft in my inventory?#
The 2x2 crafting grid in your inventory is switched off on Prison. Crafting tables still work.
Selling and ranks#
Why does /sell pay more than the Sell Now button?#
/sell and autosell apply your autosell multiplier (from upgrades and your store rank); the Sell Now button in the backpack menu does not. Use the command. See Backpack and Autosell.
How do I get instant autosell?#
/autosell needs the Huntsman rank or higher. Your 7th opening of the Rebirth Crate also unlocks it permanently. Everyone else can use timer autosell, switched on in the backpack menu. See Prison Store Ranks and Perks and Rebirth Crate.
How do I rank up faster?#
Sell more and rank up in bulk with /maxrankup (alias /rankupmax), or leave /autorankup on. Enchants that break more blocks and raise your income, a booster and your autosell multiplier all raise how fast you earn. See Ranks and Income Multipliers.
What is the highest rank, and how much does it cost?#
Rank 10,000. Going from rank 1 to rank 1,000 costs about $489 million in total, and the whole climb to 10,000 about $822 billion. See Rankup Costs.
What does prestige do and when can I do it?#
Your first prestige needs rank 1,000 and $1.5 billion; later prestiges need a higher rank and a bigger fee. Your rank and money reset, and each prestige permanently multiplies the money and tokens you earn by 1.10, compounding. Prestiges also unlock new enchants and pay Prestige Crate Keys. There are 100 prestiges. See Prestige.
What do I lose when I prestige?#
Your rank (back to 1) and all your money. The contents of your backpack are destroyed, and any money left after the fee is wiped, so selling first only helps toward the fee. You keep tokens, your pickaxe, backpack upgrades and beacons. See what resets.
What is rebirth?#
The final step after prestige 100 and rank 10,000: pay a token fee and restart the whole ladder with bigger permanent bonuses. It resets nearly everything, including your pickaxe and robot. See Rebirth.
Why won't rebirth let me start?#
You need prestige 100, rank 10,000, enough blocks mined this life (50,000 for the first rebirth) and the token fee. Only blocks you break yourself count; enchant effects, bombs, grenades and the robot do not. Run /rebirth to see which requirement is missing.
Can I skip ranks?#
Rank Skip items raise your rank by a fixed number without cost, and Prestige and Rebirth Skips exist too. They drop from crates. See Skip Items.
Tokens, enchants and the pickaxe#
What are tokens for?#
Pickaxe enchants, autosell upgrades, plot size upgrades, mining robot upgrades and the rebirth fee. See Tokens.
Why can't I buy more levels of an enchant?#
Each enchant has a cap that rises with your prestige. The message shows the prestige that raises it. See Pickaxe Enchant Caps.
How do I unlock new enchants?#
By prestiging. Enchants unlock at prestige 1 through 8. See The Pickaxe for the full list.
Does disenchanting give my tokens back?#
Not to your balance. The tokens you paid go into a pool stored in your pickaxe and are spent first on your next enchant purchase. See removing levels.
How do I use an Enchant Token or Mystery Dust?#
Pick the item up and click your pickaxe (for a token) or a token (for dust). See Enchant Tokens and Mystery Dust.
How do I change my pickaxe skin?#
Run /pickaxeskin. You must own the skin. See Pickaxe Skins.
Mines and plots#
Why can't my friend mine in my mine?#
Only you and your gang can break blocks in your mine. Trusted players can visit but not mine. Invite them to your gang instead. See Mines.
How do I stop someone coming into my mine?#
Visitors must be trusted or in your gang, so strangers cannot enter. You can ban a player with /mine ban, which also keeps them out of your plot. See Mine Menu and Management.
How do I set a tax on my mine?#
Run /mine tax <percent>. The highest rate you can set depends on your store rank: 10% by default, 15% with Huntsman, 20% with Savage and 25% with Caveman. See Mine Menu and Management.
Why was I teleported out of my mine?#
Your mine refilled. It resets when you run /mine reset and automatically when more than 60% of its blocks are broken, and everyone standing in it is moved to the mine's spawn. See Mines.
How big does my mine get?#
From prestige 2 it grows by one block on each side for every 25 ranks, up to a limit that rises with each prestige, and never wider than 90 blocks. See Mines.
What are the planet mines?#
Ten shared mines from the Moon to the Sun, unlocked at prestige 10, 20 and so on. Use /prestigemine. See Prestige Mines.
What is a meteor strike?#
A random event in a planet mine: a meteor lands, and everyone who helps break it shares 50,000 tokens. It is announced in chat. See Prestige Mines.
How do I make my plot bigger or change its theme?#
Open /plot, then Upgrades for size (five token upgrades) or Settings, then Theme. See Plots.
Why can't my trusted friend build on my plot?#
The plot's Build Access defaults to Officer, and new members are Members. Set Build Access to Member in your plot Settings. See Plot Access and Settings.
Boosts and extras#
How does the Mining Robot work?#
It mines your mine on a fuel tank, pays you tokens, stores its drops in its own inventory, and keeps working while you are offline. Open it with /robot. See Mining Robot.
Do boosters keep running when I log off?#
No. Boosters pause while you are offline or on another gamemode and resume when you return. The dungeon's mining surge is the exception: it counts down in real time. See Boosters and Dungeon Surges and Weekly Prizes.
What is rollcall?#
Every hour an officer at spawn takes rollcall. Click the officer within the 5-minute window for a +10% money booster on selling that lasts until the next rollcall. Only one money booster runs at a time, so it waits behind a stronger one. See Rollcall.
How do quests and achievements work?#
Quests refresh daily, weekly and monthly and pay when you finish them. Achievements are permanent milestones, paid automatically unless you turn Auto-Claim off. See Prison Quests and Prison Achievements.
How do I get a minion?#
Minions hatch from Ore, Space and Crypt Eggs, or come as minion vouchers you right-click. Equip one in /minions; only one can be equipped at a time. See Minions.
Are pets and minions the same thing?#
No. Pets are collectible buddies managed with /buddies for small fixed boosts; minions level up and are managed with /minions. See Pets.
Why is /pets not working?#
On Prison, pets are managed with /buddies. See Pets.
Where do I find crate keys?#
Prestiging gives Prestige Crate Keys, rebirthing gives Rebirth Crate Keys, voting gives Vote Crate Keys and chat typing games give crate keys. Other keys come from the store. See Prison Crates.
Why did a captcha appear while I was mining?#
Prison occasionally shows a captcha to confirm a real player is mining. Type the code shown on the map in your hand into chat within 2 minutes; running out of time or attempts removes you from the server. See Captcha.
