Jackhammer is a blast pickaxe enchant that, every so often, breaks an entire horizontal layer of your mine in one go.
Effect#
- Each time you mine a block, Jackhammer rolls a chance of 0.01% per level, up to 50% at level 5,000.
- When it triggers, every block on the same height as the block you mined breaks, across the full length and width of the mine. It is one flat layer, one block thick.
- Only blocks that belong to your mine are broken.
- Blocks broken this way pay out like blocks you mine yourself: tokens go to your balance and drops go to your backpack, and Fortune and Token Finder apply to them. Blocks broken by an enchant never roll for other enchants, so enchants do not chain.
- With Double Layer, a Jackhammer trigger can also break the layer directly below.
- It does not trigger in prestige mines.
Levels#
| Level | Chance per block mined |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.01% (1 in 10,000) |
| 100 | 1% (1 in 100) |
| 500 | 5% (1 in 20) |
| 1,000 | 10% (1 in 10) |
| 2,500 | 25% (1 in 4) |
| 5,000 | 50% (1 in 2) |
The layer is the same at every level. The level only changes how often it triggers.
A chat message ("Your Jackhammer enchant activated!") confirms each trigger unless you have switched enchant activation messages off in your options.
Cost and unlocking#
It unlocks at Prestige 7 and shows as Mythic in the enchant menu. Level 1 costs 50,000 tokens, and each further level costs more, following the formula on Pickaxe Enchant Costs. You can buy all 5,000 levels as soon as it unlocks (Pickaxe Enchant Caps). The maximum level does not change with rebirth.
Notes#
- Jackhammer breaks the layer at the height of the block you mined, so how much it clears depends on how many blocks of that layer are still standing.
- Gold Rush turns a layer into gold blocks, which Jackhammer can then break in one go.
