Dungeon Mobs

Every regular mob of the Overgrown Crypt with its entity, health, damage, armor and abilities, grouped by the weighted spawn pools that decide how often each appears.

The Overgrown Crypt is populated with custom mobs drawn from weighted pools. A room that was built to hold mobs spawns from the pool its designer chose, and every room that has none gets mobs from the default pool. The stats below are before the difficulty multipliers. The health multiplier applies to the mobs stocked in rooms; the damage multiplier applies to every dungeon mob. See Dungeon Difficulties.

The final boss and the mini-bosses are on Dungeon Bosses.

Default pool#

Used for rooms that are stocked automatically, which is most rooms.

Sewer pool#

Mobs spawned in the rising water of the boss arena are ordinary Drowned (weight 2, about 67%) and Guardians (weight 1, about 33%). Like the pipe mobs, they hunt the nearest player within 64 blocks and are not hurt by the arena's magma.

Special behaviour#

MobBehaviour
GhostVery fragile with 3 health. Its touch deals no damage but covers you in frost for a moment.
NecromancerSummons 1 skeleton about 1 second after it spawns.
WraithSummons 1 skeleton about 1 second after it spawns.
Bog Drowned30% of its hits poison you for 2 seconds.
Skeleton PyromancerThe highest attack damage of any dungeon mob (75), with 300 health. It is fast (speed 0.5) but only notices players within 20 blocks. It is a blaze underneath, so it does not count as undead.
Lizardman ShamanNotices you from far away, with a follow range of 80 blocks.
Crypt HoundFast (speed 0.38) and always angry.
Crypt CrawlerLarger than a normal cave spider (x1.3) and fast.
Sewer RatA silverfish 1.4 times normal size.

How many mobs#

  • Rooms stocked automatically get one mob per 30 floor blocks, clamped to 2 to 8 per room, scaled by room size, difficulty and party size. See Dungeon Run Mechanics.
  • Every kill is worth +10 score. See Dungeon Scoring and Loot.
  • All dungeon mobs glow, so you can read a room through its walls.
  • The Gravedigger weapon deals bonus damage to the undead mobs in this list. See Gravedigger.
