The Overgrown Crypt is the dungeon of Prison. It is a buried crypt "reclaimed by root and vine" that is built from a library of rooms for every run, so no two runs share the same halls. You enter with a party of up to four players, fight your way through the levels, beat the mini-bosses and the boss, the Bandit Warrior, and take Sewer Shards from the reward chests. The Overgrown Crypt is the only dungeon that is currently open.

How a run goes#
- Form or join a party at the Dungeon Party Board NPC. The leader picks a difficulty and presses Enter the Overgrown Crypt. See Entering the Dungeon.
- Your party arrives in a lobby while the crypt is built. Everyone readies up, and the run starts a few seconds after the last player is ready.
- Work through the rooms level by level. Each level ends at a gate that opens once the level is cleared or when you spend a key. See Dungeon Run Mechanics.
- Solve puzzles, find secrets and defeat mini-bosses for score, keys and extra rewards. See Dungeon Puzzles.
- Open the boss door and defeat the Bandit Warrior in the flooded sewer arena. See Dungeon Bosses.
- Your grade is announced and the reward chests appear. Claim them before the loot window closes. See Dungeon Scoring and Loot.

Recommended gear#
The in-game Dungeon Guide recommends:
- Full iron armour or better, because the boss hits hard.
- A sword for the rooms and a bow with arrows for traps and cover you have to shoot down.
- Golden apples or healing potions. The guide also suggests food, but your hunger bar stays full inside the dungeon.
- Fire resistance for the boss arena once the floor heats up.
- Dungeon weapons from the shop, which carry abilities that make the crypt easier.
