Mining Robot

The Mining Robot mines your own mine for you on a fuel tank, keeps going while you are offline, and is upgraded with tokens across eight tracks.

The Mining Robot is a helper that mines your personal mine while you do something else. It runs on fuel, collects what it mines in its own inventory, pays you tokens, and can keep working while you are offline. You control it from the robot menu and make it faster and stronger with token upgrades.

Opening the menu#

Run /robot, or tap the Mining Robot character standing by your mine. If you have never visited your mine, you first see "Visit your mine once to set up your robot first." The Mining Robot menu has these buttons:

ButtonWhat it does
Mining Robot (compass)Shows whether the robot is Active or Inactive and its fuel, for example "Fuel: 3000/3000"
Start Robot / Stop RobotTurns the robot on or off. It needs fuel to run
Robot InventoryShows how many items the robot holds out of 50,000
Sell AllSells everything in the robot's inventory for money
Upgrade tilesOne per upgrade, showing level, maximum and the cost of the next level

Clicking an upgrade opens a purchase screen with buttons for +1, +5, +10 and +25 levels and a Max Upgrade button that buys as many levels as you can afford.

How the robot works#

  • It mines in your mine. While switched on and fuelled, a robot character walks through your mine and breaks blocks around it. It takes the same blocks your own pickaxe would, so it benefits from your rank. It never counts toward the blocks-mined total for rebirth or the block leaderboard.
  • It pays tokens. Every block it breaks pays tokens to you, with your Tokens upgrade, boosters, prestige and rebirth multipliers applied. See Income Multipliers.
  • Its drops go to the robot, not to your backpack. Items are stored in the robot's inventory, up to 50,000. When it is full it cannot hold more. Empty it with Sell All, or buy the Auto Sell upgrade so the robot sells for you every few seconds.
  • It uses fuel. Each mining action burns 1 fuel, however many blocks it clears. A robot with the starting 3,000 fuel and no upgrades mines for about 50 minutes. When the tank is empty the robot stops.
  • Your own mining refuels it. Every block you break yourself adds 4 fuel to the tank, so the robot rewards playing and does not replace it.
  • It keeps working offline. When you come back, the robot credits the time you were away, limited by the fuel in its tank plus what Solar Energy recharged meanwhile.

Upgrades#

All upgrades are bought with tokens. The price of the next level is (level + 1) × base price × (1 + weight / 12)^level, so levels get steadily more expensive, and every rebirth multiplies prices by 1.55. The figures below are for no rebirths.

Solar Energy is locked until prestige 6; its tile shows "LOCKED - Reach Prestige 6 to unlock this upgrade for your robot" before then. At level 5 it recharges fuel faster than a maxed Speed robot burns it, so the robot never runs dry.

A rebirth resets the robot completely: upgrades, fuel and stored items are all wiped. Prestige does not touch it.

Tips#

  • Fuel Capacity, Fuel Efficiency and Solar Energy all stretch how long the robot runs; Speed and Mine Size raise what it mines in that time.
  • Sell the robot's inventory before it fills: past 50,000 items it cannot store more of a drop.
  • A rebirth wipes the robot, so spend its tokens only on upgrades that will pay back within the current run.
