Gold Rush

Loot Prison pickaxe enchant that can trigger while mining to turn an entire mine layer into valuable gold blocks.

Gold Rush is a loot pickaxe enchant that turns a whole layer of your mine into gold blocks, which are worth more than every block that appears in a mine below rank 2,500.

Effect#

  • Each time you mine a block, Gold Rush rolls a chance of 0.008% per level.
  • When it triggers, every block on the same layer as the block you mined, across the full width of the mine, is replaced by a gold block. Empty spaces and blocks that are already gold are left alone.
  • The gold blocks are not broken for you: they stay in the mine until you or another enchant breaks them.
  • Each gold block pays 70 tokens and drops a gold block that sells for $2,250 at the base sell price, before any sell multipliers. Fortune and Token Finder apply to them like any other block.
  • It only works in regular mines. It does not trigger in prestige mines.

Levels#

LevelChance per block mined
10.008% (1 in 12,500)
100.08% (1 in 1,250)
500.4% (1 in 250)
1000.8% (1 in 125)
2502% (1 in 50)
5004% (1 in 25)
7506% (1 in 17)
1,0008% (1 in 13)

The layer is the same size at every level; the level only changes how often it triggers.

A chat message ("Your Gold Rush enchant activated!") confirms each trigger unless you have switched enchant activation messages off in your options.

Cost and unlocking#

It unlocks at Prestige 3 and shows as Epic in the enchant menu. Level 1 costs 500,000 tokens, and each further level costs more, following the formula on Pickaxe Enchant Costs. Your purchase cap is level 445 at Prestige 3 and reaches the full 1,000 levels at Prestige 9 (Pickaxe Enchant Caps). The maximum level does not change with rebirth.

Notes#

  • An enchant that clears a whole layer, such as Jackhammer, breaks the converted layer in one go if it triggers on the same level.
  • A gold block pays the same at every rank. From rank 3,000 your mine also holds blocks worth more than a gold block, and Gold Rush converts those too; see Mine Blocks.
