Fortune is a passive pickaxe enchant that multiplies the items your mined blocks drop. It works on every block that pays drops, whether you mine it yourself or an area enchant breaks it, and it needs no trigger.
Effect#
- Each time blocks are broken for you, the drops of every block type in that batch are multiplied by a random number between 1 and 1 + 0.2 x level. For example, if a batch breaks blocks that would drop 100 of one item at level 100, you receive between 100 and 2,100 of it, 1,100 on average. The result is rounded to a whole number.
- The multiplier is rolled once per block type per batch. A large blast that breaks many blocks of the same type gets one shared roll for that type, so the average stays the same but single results swing more.
- Fortune also applies to blocks broken by other pickaxe enchants such as Explosive, Jackhammer or Nuke.
- Drops go to your backpack, where they are sold as usual. Fortune does not change the tokens you earn; for that see Token Finder.
- It also works in prestige mines.
Levels#
The in-game lore shows the maximum bonus ("Block Increase"). The average bonus is half of it.

Cost and unlocking#
It is available from the start and shows as Common in the enchant menu. Level 1 costs 5,000 tokens, and each further level costs more, following the formula on Pickaxe Enchant Costs. Your purchase cap is level 20 at Prestige 0, level 530 at Prestige 5 and reaches the full 1,090 levels at Prestige 10 (Pickaxe Enchant Caps). The maximum level rises by 75 with every rebirth.
