Mining Summary

The Mining Summary is a chat report every 60 seconds of the blocks, tokens, money and beacons you earned in the last minute, and the [receipt] tag that shares it with other players.

The Mining Summary is a short report that appears in your chat while you mine. Once every 60 seconds it totals what you earned since the previous report and then starts counting again from zero, so the figures describe one minute of mining, not your lifetime totals.

What the report shows#

Each report is a block of chat, set off by a blank line above and below, headed Mining Summary (60s) with four lines. All four lines are always shown, with a zero where you earned nothing of that kind.

LineWhat it counts
Blocks BrokenBlocks broken in your mine, in a gang member's mine or in a prestige mine, including every block cleared by your pickaxe enchants, explosives and your Mining Robot while you are online. Beacon blocks count on the Beacons line instead. From 1,000 upward the number is shortened, for example 1.84k
TokensThe tokens paid for those blocks, robot blocks included, after your token multipliers, boosters, prestige and rebirth bonuses
MoneyThe money from the sales made in that minute: /sell, the backpack's Sell Now button, auto sell, instant auto sell and your Mining Robot's sales
BeaconsBeacons from the beacon blocks broken in that minute, after your beacon multipliers and boosters

How the money is counted#

The Money line is the value of the sale after boosters, any mine tax you paid, and your prestige and rebirth bonuses. It is counted before any auto sell multiplier is applied (your backpack's for /sell and auto sell, your robot's for its own sales), so those sales can add more to your balance than the line shows. The Sell Now button in the backpack menu never applies the auto sell multiplier, so there the line matches what you were paid. Tax you receive as a mine owner is not part of your own summary. For how the bonuses stack, see Prison Currencies.

Because the money is counted when a sale happens, a minute with no sale shows $0 even if your backpack is filling. With a timed auto sell on you will see the whole payout in the report that follows the sale; with instant auto sell on, money appears in every report.

When it arrives#

  • The report is sent on a repeating 60-second timer for all players at once. The first report after you start mining can therefore cover less than a full minute.
  • It is sent only if you earned something since the last report. If you stood still, you get no message.
  • It arrives wherever you are in Prison, as long as you earned something in the last minute. Selling at spawn counts too.

Switching it off#

Open /options and click Toggle Receipts. The report stops appearing in chat. The count carries on in the background, so the tag below still works. See Prison Options.

Sharing it: the [receipt] tag#

Type [receipt], [summary] or [r] in a chat message and the game replaces it with a grey-bracketed (your name)'s Receipt tag. Everyone who reads the message can hover over the tag to see the same report, header and four lines.

  • The tag shows your most recent report: the last full minute of your mining, not the minute in progress. If you did not mine in the last minute it shows zeros.
  • Each tag is replaced once per message, so writing [receipt] twice shows the tag once and leaves the second as plain text.
  • These tags are chat showcases and work only for players whose rank allows chat showcases. Otherwise the text is sent exactly as you typed it.

Other Prison chat tags#

TagShows
[mine]A grey-bracketed (your name)'s Mine tag. Hovering shows your mine's level (your rank)
[gang] or [g]A (your name)'s Gang tag. Hovering shows your gang's details. If you are not in a gang the text stays as typed; see Gang Chat

The network-wide tags such as [item] and [inv] are described on Chat Item Showcase.

Tips#

  • Compare the Tokens line from one report to the next to see whether a new enchant, booster or skin is paying off.
  • Because the report counts enchant and robot breaks, a high Blocks Broken figure does not mean you swung your pickaxe that many times. Blocks and tokens your robot earns while you are offline are not reported; if its auto sell is on, the sale of what it collected is counted on the Money line when the robot starts up again after you return.
  • If you only care about sales, turn on auto sell and read the Money line in the report after each sale.
