Explosive

Blast Prison pickaxe enchant with a small chance per block to break a cube of blocks around the one you mined.

Explosive is a blast pickaxe enchant that, every so often, breaks a cube of blocks around the block you just mined. It is one of the first area enchants you can buy and is available from Prestige 0.

Effect#

  • Each time you mine a block, Explosive rolls a chance of 0.008% per level.
  • When it triggers, every block in a cube centred on the mined block breaks. The cube is 7 x 7 x 7 blocks from level 1, grows to 9 x 9 x 9 at level 400 and to 11 x 11 x 11 at level 800.
  • Only blocks that belong to your mine are broken, and unbreakable blocks are skipped.
  • Blocks broken this way pay out like blocks you mine yourself: tokens go to your balance and drops go to your backpack, and Fortune and Token Finder apply to them. Blocks broken by an enchant never roll for other enchants, so enchants do not chain.
  • It can also trigger in prestige mines.

The area is the same for every level inside a size bracket; only the chance rises with each level. Level 375 is the most you can buy at Prestige 0.

A chat message ("Your Explosive enchant activated!") confirms each trigger unless you have switched enchant activation messages off in your options.

Cost and unlocking#

It is available from the start and shows as Common in the enchant menu. Level 1 costs 10,000 tokens, and each further level costs more, following the formula on Pickaxe Enchant Costs. Your purchase cap is level 375 at Prestige 0 and reaches the full 1,000 levels at Prestige 3 (Pickaxe Enchant Caps). The maximum level does not change with rebirth.

Notes#

  • The cube is centred on the block you mined, so mining near the walls or the floor of the mine breaks fewer blocks.
  • For clearing a whole layer or wall instead of a cube, see Jackhammer and Slicer.
