Mine Menu and Management

The /mine menu and the commands for trusted players, roles, permissions, visitors, bans and tax in your personal Prison mine.

The mine menu is where you manage who can come into your mine and what it costs them. Open it with /mine. (On Bedrock Edition /mine teleports you home instead; use the commands below.)

The menu#

ButtonWhat it does
Your MineTeleports you to your mine. See Using Your Mine
Reset MineRefills your mine. 45 second cooldown
Rebuild MineRepairs your mine's scenery and area. 30 second cooldown
PermissionsOpens the role permissions screen described below
VisitorsLists the players in your mine right now so you can kick or ban them
Banned PlayersLists and manages your bans

Trusted players and tax have no buttons and are managed with commands.

Roles#

Every player you trust gets a role in your mine. Roles rise in this order:

RoleNotes
GuestThe level of anyone who is not trusted. It cannot be assigned
MemberThe default role when you trust someone. Can visit your mine
OfficerCan send players out of your mine and sells tax-free, by default
Co-OwnerA higher trusted role. Its powers are whatever your permission settings give it
OwnerYou. It cannot be assigned

Visiting needs at least the Member role. Gang members of the owner can also visit and mine, whatever their role. Only the owner and the owner's gang can break blocks: trusting someone never lets them mine. See who can enter and who can mine.

Trusted players#

CommandWhat it does
/mine add <player>Trusts a player as a Member of your mine. They are told "(owner) added you to their mine!"
/mine remove <player>Removes a trusted player: "(player) has been untrusted!"
/mine membersOpens the Trusted Players menu: click Add Player and type a name in the text box, or click a player's head and confirm to untrust them
/mine setrole <player> <role>Sets a trusted player's role to Member, Officer or Co-Owner

You can trust a limited number of players, set by your store rank: 5 by default, 6 with HUNTSMAN, 7 with SAVAGE and 8 with CAVEMAN. Past the limit you see "You have reached the trust limit!". You cannot trust yourself, and trusting someone twice gives "(player) is already trusted!".

Permissions#

/mine permissions (or the Permissions button) opens a screen with one tile per setting. Each tile shows the lowest role that has the permission ("Current Role"). Left-click raises the role (Guest, Member, Officer, Co-Owner, Owner), right-click lowers it, and your choices are saved when you close the screen ("permissions saved").

SettingWhat it controls
Avoid TaxThe lowest role that does not pay your tax. Default: Officer
Mine BlocksMining in your mine is always limited to you and your gang, whatever this tile is set to

Visitors and bans#

The Visitors menu shows the players currently in your mine. Click a head to open its actions:

ActionWhat it does
KickSends the player back to spawn. They can come back
BanSends the player back to spawn and keeps them out of your mine and your plot

Staff members cannot be kicked or banned: "(player) cannot be removed from your mine!".

CommandAliasesWhat it does
/mine kick <player>/mine expelSends a player standing in your mine back to spawn. Works for owners and for roles that have the permission (Officer by default), when you are standing in the mine
/mine ban <player>Bans a player. Only the owner can do this. Offline players can be banned
/mine unban <player>/mine pardonLifts a ban

The Banned Players menu lists your bans: each head reads "Cannot enter your mine or plot. Click to let them back". The Ban a Player button asks for a name in a text box. You can ban up to 50 players; past that the game says "You have reached the ban limit!". A ban applies to your mine and your plot together.

Tax#

You can charge a tax on what other players sell while standing in your mine. The tax is a percentage of each sale; it is taken from the seller and paid to you.

CommandAliasesWhat it does
/mine settax <rate>/mine tax, /mine taxrate, /mine settaxrateSets your mine's tax rate in percent, for example /mine tax 5
  • The highest rate you can set depends on your store rank: 10% by default, 15% with HUNTSMAN, 20% with SAVAGE and 25% with CAVEMAN. Above it you see "Cannot set tax rate higher than (max)%!".
  • Setting it announces "This mine's tax rate has been set to (rate)%!" to everyone in the mine.
  • Players whose role is at or above the Avoid Tax setting (Officer by default) pay no tax.
  • The tax is taken from a sale after boosters and before the seller's prestige and rebirth bonuses, so it applies only to what the mine itself produced. See Income Multipliers.
  • A rate of 0 means no tax. A high rate keeps players away, so choose one you would accept as a visitor.

Tips#

  • Trusting a player does not let them mine. To share mining, invite them to your gang.
  • Make useful helpers Officers so they can remove griefers and are not charged tax.
  • A ban is the quickest way to lock someone out of both your mine and your plot.
