Dungeon Scoring and Loot

Exact score values, grade thresholds, time bonuses, reward chest payouts per grade and difficulty, mini-boss payouts and the blessing table for the Overgrown Crypt.

A run of the Overgrown Crypt builds up a score. When the run ends, the score becomes a grade, and the grade decides how many reward chests you may open. The rules are the same on all difficulties; only the Sewer Shard amounts change. See Dungeon Difficulties.

Grades#

FAILOnly when the whole party is down, or the run is abandoned0

A completed run always grades at least C. FAIL runs pay nothing and are not recorded in the run times. The grade is announced to the party as "Run complete - grade grade with score points!".

Reward chests#

When the run completes, a chest appears for each tier your grade unlocks, in the boss reward room. A grade unlocks tiers 1 up to its chest count, so S+ opens all five.

  • Everyone still inside is teleported to the reward room a moment later.
  • Click a chest to see its single reward and claim it. Every tier is free. You get one pick per chest, so you can claim each chest once.
  • The reward is a payout of Sewer Shards. The amount is rolled once per chest for the whole run, so every party member sees the same amount, then multiplied by the difficulty's payout multiplier.
  • You must have dealt damage to a dungeon mob to open the chests. A player who dealt none sees "Only those who fought may loot - you dealt no damage this run."
  • A player who is still down when the run ends gets "You were dead when the run ended - no chests for the carried."
  • You have a 120 second loot window, with warnings at 30 and 10 seconds. After that everyone is sent back to spawn.

Payouts per chest#

Amounts are in Sewer Shards before the difficulty multiplier.

Total shards from chests by grade#

Totals add every unlocked chest, so they are the minimum and maximum you can claim from chests in one run.

Other Sewer Shard payouts#

SourcePayout
Defeating the Gravewarden mini-boss40 Sewer Shards to each party member who has dealt damage during the run
Defeating the Bog Shaman mini-boss40 Sewer Shards to each party member who has dealt damage during the run

These payouts are flat and are not multiplied by the difficulty.

Blessings#

Chests that stand in the rooms during a run are blessing chests. They are not loot. The first player to open one rolls a blessing, and every standing party member receives it. Solving the brazier puzzle also grants a blessing. Spirits (downed players) do not receive the effects.
