Starting out#
How do I create my island?#
Type /island, click Create Island, then Original Island. Creating an island is free. You can also use /is create. See Creating an Island.
How many islands can I have?#
You can own 2 islands and also be a member of 3 islands owned by other players. The two limits are separate. See Creating an Island.
Why do I get "You must wait before creating another island"?#
There is a 1 minute wait between creating islands, counted from your last creation. Deleting an island does not reset it.
How do I get back to my island?#
Use /is home (alias /is go) from anywhere on Skyblock. Use /spawn to return to the Skyblock spawn. If you are on several islands, a menu asks which one you mean. See Island Warps and Visiting.
What do I get when I first join Skyblock?#
$10,000, the default starter kit (leather armor, iron tools, a fishing rod, food and starter crops) and the Starter Guide book. Type /guide to open the Skyblock Progression Guide again. See Getting Started on Skyblock.
How big is my island?#
A new island is 100 x 100 blocks. The Island Size upgrade grows it in 12 steps up to 1000 x 1000. See Island Border and Size.
What is the island menu?#
/island opens your list of islands, and clicking an island opens its control panel with buttons for members, settings, permissions, upgrades, masteries, the generator, dimensions, recruitment, leaving and disbanding. See The Island Menu.
Teams and visitors#
How do I invite a friend?#
Use /is invite <player>. They accept with /is accept <inviter> or decline with /is reject <inviter>. See Island Members and Roles.
How many members can my island have?#
7 at the start. The Max Members upgrade raises it to 8, 10, 12 and finally 15. See Island Upgrades.
What is the difference between a member and a co-op player?#
A member joins the island permanently with a role. A co-op player gets temporary access, and it is removed when they log out. Use /is coop <player> for co-op. See Island Members and Roles.
Who can build, break and open chests on my island?#
It depends on each player's role. The owner can change what every role may do in /is permissions. By default visitors can only interact with buttons, levers, doors and similar blocks. See Island Permissions.
Can other players visit my island?#
Only if it is public. New islands are private. Use /is open to make it public, which also lists it in the island directory. Visitors cannot build unless a role allows it. See Island Warps and Visiting.
How do I keep someone off my island?#
Use /is expel <player> to send a player who is on your island to spawn, and /is ban <player> to stop them entering at all. Closing the island only stops visits and the directory. See Island Warps and Visiting.
How do I find an island to join?#
Use /is find to browse islands that are recruiting and apply to them. See Island Recruitment.
How do I hand my island to someone else?#
The owner can use /is transfer <player> to give ownership to a member. See Island Members and Roles and Deleting and Resetting an Island.
Is there an island chat?#
Yes. /is chat toggles island chat and /is chat <message> sends one message. See Island Chat.
How do I rename my island?#
Use /is name <name>. Names are 3 to 24 characters long, and by default Co-Owners and the owner can set them. /is resetname removes the name. See Creating an Island.
Upgrades and limits#
How do I upgrade my island?#
Open /is upgrades. There are 10 upgrade types and each level is bought with money. See Island Upgrades.
Who pays for upgrades and who can buy them?#
The player who clicks pays from their own balance, because there is no shared island bank. By default Officers and above can buy upgrades. See Island Upgrades.
Why can't I place any more hoppers?#
Every island has a hopper limit, 500 at the start. The Hopper Limit upgrade raises it up to 120,000. See Island Block Limits.
How many warps can I make?#
3 at the start, up to 15 with the Max Warps upgrade. See Island Warps and Visiting.
How do I make crops grow without water or light?#
Buy the Waterless Crops and Lightless Crops upgrades, $250,000 each. The Crop Growth Boost upgrade makes wheat, carrots, potatoes and beetroots grow faster. See Island Upgrades.
Can I change my island's time, weather or biome?#
Yes, in /is settings. You need the Set Island Settings permission, which Officers and above have by default. The settings also have twelve island rules such as fire spread and mob spawning. See Island Settings.
Island value and leaderboards#
What is island level or island value?#
Island value is the worth of special items you deposit into the Island Value Cauldron. Blocks and builds do not count. Check it with /is level. See Island Level and Value.
Where do I get items for island value?#
Buy them in the shop category Island Value Items: Heart of the Sea ($10,000, 1 value), Amethyst Shard ($100,000, 10), Echo Shard ($500,000, 50) and Disc Fragment 5 ($1,000,000, 100). The Dragon Egg Relic is worth 10,000 and comes from weekly challenges. See Island Level and Value.
What does the weekly island leaderboard pay?#
The top three islands each week receive 7,500, 5,000 and 2,500 Gems, paid to the island owner. The draw is every Wednesday at 21:00. See Island Top.
How do I see the top islands?#
Use /is top. Click the leaderboard button to switch between the weekly and the all-time leaderboard. See Island Top.
Nether, End and challenges#
How do I unlock the Nether and the End?#
Open /is dimensions. The Nether costs $50,000,000 and the End costs $1,000,000,000 and needs the Nether first. Each also needs one mastery goal. See Island Dimensions (Nether and End).
Why won't my Nether portal light?#
The island has not unlocked the Nether yet. A portal frame can only be lit and used after you unlock the dimension. See Island Dimensions (Nether and End).
What do the Nether and End give me?#
Each unlocked dimension adds a permanent sell boost (+5% for the Nether and +10% for the End), new crops, mobs and spawners, and in the Nether a basalt generator. See Island Dimensions (Nether and End).
What are weekly island challenges?#
Team objectives that every member adds to. Each unlocked world gets 3 challenges a week, which reset every Monday at 00:00. Open them with /is challenges. See Island Challenges.
How do I get the Dragon Egg Relic?#
Complete every End challenge your island is given in a week, then the owner (or a member with the right permission) claims it in the challenge menu. See Island Challenges.
What is the Island Booster Beacon?#
A placeable block that boosts crops, generators, collectors, robots, spawners and void chests within a radius. See Island Booster Beacon.
Money and progression#
How do I make money?#
Sell what your island produces: /sell hand sells the stack in your hand, /shop lets you sell from the menu, and /sell all (rank Gold or higher) sells your whole inventory. See Selling Items and Earning Money.
What raises my sell prices?#
The Sell Boost island upgrade (up to +50%), sell boosters, mastery levels (+0.4% per level on that element's items) and the Nether and End unlocks. See Sell Multipliers.
How do I upgrade my generator?#
Run /is generator on your island. Each tier costs money ($8,000 for tier 2 up to $650,000 for tier 9 in the Overworld) and needs an Ore Mastery level. See Generator Tiers.
How do I get spawners?#
Buy them in /shop under Spawners, from $200,000 for a Sheep spawner to $20,000,000 for a Shulker spawner. Each mob must be unlocked in Mob Mastery first. See Obtaining Spawners.
How do I get a robot?#
Reach level 5 in a mastery track, then open /robots, unlock the matching robot type for $15,000 and buy a robot for $60,000. See Robots.
Why did my robot or collector not count for my quest?#
Quests, challenge races, island challenges and mastery only count your own actions. Robots, collectors and other automation earn money but no progress. See Automation.
Deleting and leaving#
How do I delete my island?#
The owner uses /is disband. It asks for confirmation, deletes the island and everything on it, and cannot be undone. There is no reset command. See Deleting and Resetting an Island.
How do I leave an island?#
Members use /is leave. The owner has to transfer the island or disband it. See Deleting and Resetting an Island.
