Payday is an Uncommon enchant for Diamond Sword swords and axes. When you kill a mob with the weapon in your main hand, its drops are sold on the spot at the shop's sell prices and the money goes to your balance, so sellable loot never reaches the ground.
How to get it#
- Uncommon rune. An Uncommon rune costs 15,000 XP in the enchant shop. The Uncommon pool holds 12 enchants, so one Uncommon rune in twelve gives Payday. Payday has a single level, so the book arrives with level I already set; see Enchanted Books.
- Crate blades. Blades from limited-time lootboxes, such as the Summer Blade, Sunset Blade and Twilight Blade, can come with Payday. See crate blades.
Effect#
On every kill of a mob, Payday sells the drops through the shop before they fall. There is no chance roll and no cooldown.
- Prices. Drops are sold at the same prices as the shop's sell menu, and your own sell bonuses apply. Payday adds no extra bonus of its own at any level. See Shop.
- Unsold items. Anything the shop does not buy drops as usual. Experience is not sold; you collect it as normal.
- Other kill enchants. Plunder multiplies the drops first, so Payday sells the multiplied amount.
- Stacks. When a hit also kills extra mobs from a stack, for example through Multi Kill, the drops of those mobs are sold as well.
- Island spawners. When a hit harvests mobs from an island spawner, the harvest's drops are sold the same way. See Managed Spawners.
- Players. Players are not mobs for this purpose; Payday only handles mob kills.
Levels#
| Level | Chance | Sell bonus |
|---|---|---|
| I | 100% | None (shop price) |
Notes and tips#
- Payday only counts kills you make yourself. A mob killed by a collector or a robot is not sold by your weapon, even if you hit it first.
- Crate blades that roll Payday at a level above I do not sell for more; the extra levels have no further effect.
- Pair Payday with Plunder on the same sword for bigger sales.
