Multi Kill

Legendary sword enchant that kills one extra mob per level from a mob stack, and reaps extra mobs from island spawners.

Multi Kill is a Legendary enchant for Diamond Sword swords. When the mob you kill is part of a stack, Multi Kill also kills extra mobs from that stack, one per level, and when you hit an island spawner it raises the number of mobs the hit harvests by the same amount.

How to get it#

  • Legendary rune. A Legendary rune costs 120,000 XP in the enchant shop. The Legendary pool holds five enchants (Big Catch, Multi Kill, Quarry, Topple and Windmill), so one rune in five gives Multi Kill. The book has a random success chance and an unrevealed level; see Enchanted Books.

Multi Kill does not appear on any crate gear in Skyblock.

Effect#

Multi Kill always works when it applies; its chance is 100% at every level. The sword must be in your main hand and you must make the kill yourself.

  • Mob stacks. Mobs of the same kind can be merged into one stacked mob. When you kill a stack with a Multi Kill sword, the enchant removes up to level extra mobs from that stack as if you had killed them, and they drop their normal loot and experience. If the stack is smaller than the bonus, the whole stack dies. A mob that is not part of a stack is unaffected.
  • Island spawners. Hitting the mob of an island spawner harvests several stored mobs at once, and Multi Kill adds level mobs to that number. The harvest is still limited by how many mobs the spawner holds. See Managed Spawners.
  • Island upgrade. The island's Manual Mob Kill Capacity upgrade also adds extra stacked-mob kills to each of your attacks, and the two are added together. See Island Upgrades.
  • Selling. Payday sells the drops of the extra mobs as well.
  • Collectors and robots. Kills made by collectors and robots never use your sword, so Multi Kill does nothing for them.

Notes and tips#

  • Multi Kill is a sword enchant only. Axes cannot carry it.
  • The bonus is a flat number of mobs, not a percentage, so it matters most against large stacks.
  • A rune book reveals a random level from I to V, and the lower levels are the likelier ones; see level of the book.
