Combat enchants are the custom enchants for Diamond Sword swords and
Diamond Axe axes in Skyblock. Three raise the damage you deal, two change what a kill pays out (Plunder and Payday), one splashes damage onto nearby enemies (Sweep), and Multi Kill reaps extra mobs from stacks. All of them come from runes bought in the enchant shop (
/enchantshop); see Runes for how runes work.
Overview#
| Enchant | Rarity | Max level | Applies to | Effect | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Butcher | Common | V | Swords and axes | +15% damage per level against mobs (+75% at V) | Common rune |
| Opening Hit | Uncommon | V | Swords | +20% damage per level on your first hit against a target; renews after 6 seconds | Uncommon rune |
| Payday | Uncommon | I | Swords and axes | Sells the drops of mobs you kill | Uncommon rune; limited-time lootbox blades |
| Giantkiller | Rare | V | Swords and axes | +20% damage per level against targets with 30 or more maximum health (+100% at V) | Rare rune |
| Plunder | Rare | V | Swords and axes | 5% chance per kill to multiply the drops: 2x at level I, 6x at level V | Rare rune; limited-time lootbox blades |
| Sweep | Rare | V | Axes | Each melee hit also damages up to 3 other creatures within 3.5 blocks for 1.5 damage per level | Rare rune |
| Multi Kill | Legendary | V | Swords | Killing a stacked mob also kills 1 extra mob from the stack per level | Legendary rune |
The Common pool has 20 enchants, the Uncommon and Rare pools 12 each and the Legendary pool 5, so one Rare rune in twelve gives any particular Rare enchant and one Legendary rune in five gives Multi Kill. See level of the book for how likely each level is.
How combat enchants work together#
- Damage bonuses add up. Butcher, Opening Hit and Giantkiller each add a percentage to your damage, and the percentages are added together rather than multiplied. Butcher V (+75%) plus Giantkiller V (+100%) is +175%, or 2.75 times the base hit.
- Kill rewards are for your own kills. Plunder, Payday and Multi Kill only act on mobs you kill yourself. Mobs killed by a collector or a robot do not trigger them, even if you hit the mob first.
- Spawner reaps. Hitting the mob of an island spawner harvests several stored mobs at once. Plunder and Payday treat the harvested mobs as if you had killed that many, and Multi Kill raises how many mobs a hit reaps. Sweep's splash damage never reaps a spawner. See Managed Spawners.
- Main hand only. The enchanted weapon must be in your main hand.
- One copy per item. A weapon can carry each enchant once, and many different ones together.
Butcher#
Butcher is a Common rune enchant that makes your weapon hit harder against mobs. Each level adds 15% damage, so level V adds 75%. It works on any non-player target and is not tied to a mob type. Players are not affected.
| Level | I | II | III | IV | V |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Extra damage to mobs | +15% | +30% | +45% | +60% | +75% |
Dedicated pages#
Opening Hit, Payday, Giantkiller, Plunder, Sweep and Multi Kill have their own pages with level tables and details: Opening Hit, Payday, Giantkiller, Plunder, Sweep and Multi Kill.
Crate blades#
Swords from limited-time lootboxes can already carry Payday and Plunder. Crate gear can carry levels above the rune maximum of V; the per-level numbers keep applying.
| Blade | Payday | Plunder |
|---|---|---|
| Summer Blade | 8-15 | 8-15 |
| Sunset Blade | 10-15 | 10-15 |
| Twilight Blade | 12-15 | 12-15 |
Payday has the same effect at every level, so only Plunder gains from the higher numbers. See Skyblock Crates for how crates work.
