Foraging Mastery

Foraging Mastery

Foraging Mastery rewards chopping logs with sell price boosts and unlocks saplings in a chain from oak to poplar, including pale oak.

Foraging Mastery is the wood track of Island Mastery. Chopping a log of a wood type gives 1 experience to that wood's element. The ten elements form a chain: you start with Oak and unlock the next wood by levelling the previous one. Pale Oak and Poplar are the last two woods in the chain.

Unlock chain#

Element	Unlocked by	XP needed for level 75
Oak	Unlocked from the start	259,866
Spruce	Oak level 4	346,488
Birch	Spruce level 5	433,110
Jungle	Birch level 6	519,732
Acacia	Jungle level 7	606,354
Dark Oak	Acacia level 8	692,976
Mangrove	Dark Oak level 9	779,598
Cherry	Mangrove level 10	866,220
Pale Oak	Cherry level 11	952,842
Poplar	Pale Oak level 12	1,039,464

An element covers the wood's logs, stripped logs, wood and stripped wood blocks. Locked woods cannot have their saplings bought in the shop ("You haven't unlocked that sapling yet!") and do not collect experience.

Perks#

Each wood gives +0.4% per level on both its logs and its sapling (propagule for Mangrove), +30% at level 75.

What counts#

A log counts only if it was not placed in the last 24 hours. Logs broken by Lumberjack robots do not give island mastery experience.
