Searcast is a KOTH enchant for Fishing Rod fishing rods with a single level. Every catch that has a furnace recipe is cooked as it lands: raw cod becomes
Cooked Cod cooked cod and raw salmon becomes
Cooked Salmon cooked salmon.
How to get it#
Searcast has the KOTH rarity, so it cannot be bought with XP: the enchant shop lists KOTH enchants under its KOTH button as "Not sold for XP". It comes from the KOTH rune:
- Capture the Inferno KOTH at spawn to win a KOTH key.
- Open a crate with the KOTH key (see Skyblock Crates). One of its rewards is a KOTH rune, at about 6% per opening.
- Open the rune. It gives one of the four KOTH enchants (Goldenvein, Searcast, Unbroken and War Cache), each equally likely, as an enchanted book, so about 1 KOTH key opening in 66 gives Searcast. Searcast has one level, so its book is always level I; the book's success chance is random between 1% and 100%.

Effect#
When you reel in a catch, any item with a furnace recipe is replaced by its cooked form and keeps its stack size. In practice that means raw cod and raw salmon. Catches without a furnace recipe are left as they are. A chat message says "Searcast cooked your catch!" when it works.
- It has one level and always works; there is no chance roll.
- It runs together with Twin Line and Big Catch: a multiplied stack of fish is cooked as a whole.
- Fishmonger sells last, so with Fishmonger on the same rod the cooked fish is what gets sold.
- The rod must be in your main hand.
Notes and tips#
- Put Searcast on a rod with Fishmonger to sell the cooked fish automatically as you fish. In the Skyblock shop cooked cod and cooked salmon sell for a little more than raw ones.
- No crate-reward rod comes with Searcast, so the KOTH rune is the only way to get it.
