High Cut

High Cut is a Rare enchant for Diamond Hoe hoes. When you cut a block of sugar cane, cactus, bamboo or kelp, it has a 25% chance to break more of the blocks stacked above it as part of the same harvest. A higher level breaks more of them.

How to get it#

High Cut comes from the Rare rune, which costs 30,000 XP in the enchant shop. The Rare rune pool in Skyblock holds 12 enchants and each one is equally likely, so a Rare rune gives High Cut about 1 time in 12 (8.3%). High Cut is not on any crate gear.

The book comes with an unknown level between I and V. Lower levels are more likely than higher ones (see the table below) and the book's success chance is random between 1% and 100%. See Runes and Enchanted Books for the full process.

Effect#

1. You break a block of sugar cane, cactus, bamboo or kelp with a High Cut hoe in your main hand.
2. High Cut rolls a 25% chance. The chance is the same at every level.
3. On success, the blocks directly above the one you broke are broken one after the other, up to the limit for your level. It stops at the first block that is not part of the column.

The level does not change the chance, only how many blocks are cut. These blocks count as ordinary harvests: they cost no durability and give no Cultivate XP, but their drops are handled by Bounty and Market like any other harvest. Without a proc, the blocks above still fall and drop when you cut the column, but only the block you cut counts as your harvest, so Bounty and Market do not touch the rest.

Notes and tips#

• High Cut only works on columns that grow upward. It does nothing on wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroots or nether wart; use Reaper or Windmill for those.
• Cut the column near its base to give the enchant the most blocks to work with.
