How to sell items on Skyblock: the /sell commands, the shop menus, sell prices for every sellable item and where the money comes from.
Selling is the main way to earn money on Skyblock. Every farm, generator, spawner and robot produces items that sell in the server shop for a fixed price. Prices are per single item and are shown in /shop; island upgrades, boosters and mastery then raise what you receive (Sell Multipliers).
Sells every item in your inventory that is the same as the item in your hand.

Messages: "You have sold x64 Cobblestone for $3.20!", with "Σ Total: $..." when several item types are sold at once. Selling with nothing sellable shows "You don't have anything you can sell in your hand!" or "Not enough items to sell!"
/shop opens the Shop with these categories (a Chest Shop Directory button also lists player shops, see Chest Shops):

Click a category, then an item. Item lore shows Buy price and Sell price.
In the item screen click Sell. The Selling screen has buttons to set the amount to 1 or 64, add or remove 1 or 10, and a preview of the total.
Click Confirm to sell, Cancel to go back, Sell Inventory to sell every matching item you carry, or Sell More to sell 1 to 9 or 36 whole stacks at once.
Buttons are rate limited: very fast clicking shows "Please do not perform this action too quickly!"
The sell price of an item can never exceed its own buy price when the shop sells it too (maximum sell-to-buy ratio 1.0), so buy-and-resell loops are impossible.
Item prices do not move with demand on Skyblock; a price you see is the price you get, before your boosts.
