Mob Robot

The Mob Robot kills nearby mobs or harvests managed spawner tanks.

The Mob Robot is one of the five robot types. It harvests a managed spawner in its radius first and otherwise attacks the nearest eligible mob.

Getting it#

  • Reach level 5 in Mobs Mastery (any element), then unlock the mob type in the Robot Shop for $15,000.
  • Buy a robot for $60,000. The rarity (Standard 75%, Legendary 20%, Mythic 5%) is rolled on purchase.
  • Deploy it on your island from its Manage Robot menu. The same Mastery level 5 is required to deploy.

What it does#

  • Spawners first. If a managed spawner with mobs ready is within the robot's radius, it reaps one spawner per operation, up to its output limit, and keeps the spawner's Automation yield share of the drops (Spawner Upgrades). Drops the robot cannot store go to the spawner's storage.
  • Otherwise it hits the nearest eligible living mob for 2 damage per operation. Only the 17 spawner mobs are eligible and only if their dimension matches and your island has unlocked the mob in Mob Mastery. Players, armor stands, invulnerable mobs, spawner display mobs and the Ender Dragon are never targeted.
  • Spawner reaps by robots have no player killer, so drops that vanilla only gives for player kills (blaze rods and wither skeleton skulls) are not rolled for them.
  • Robot kills never give Mob Mastery experience, quest or challenge credit, and no kill enchants apply.

Output#

It can store these drops of the mobs it kills or reaps: rotten flesh, bones, arrows, string, spider eyes, gunpowder, ender pearls, blaze rods, iron ingots, leather, feathers, raw and cooked meats, emeralds, totems of undying, gold nuggets, magma cream, coal, wither skeleton skulls, shulker shells and white wool. Up to 8 items per operation.

Work speed#

Base interval 2 seconds. The interval is divided by Speed x Efficiency x Activity Bonus x rarity Performance (Standard x1.0, Legendary x1.35, Mythic x1.75). The table assumes Speed, Efficiency and Activity Bonus are all at the level shown (each level multiplies by 1.1):

Upgrade level (each of the three)StandardLegendaryMythic
02.000 s1.481 s1.143 s
11.503 s1.113 s0.859 s
21.129 s0.836 s0.645 s
30.848 s0.628 s0.485 s
40.637 s0.472 s0.364 s
50.479 s0.355 s0.274 s

Capacity (x1.15 per level, rounded) is how many operations happen each time: 1 at base and levels 1 to 2, 2 operations at levels 3 to 5. Radius grows from 3 to 8 blocks and built-in storage from 1,728 to 4,608 items over five levels each. See robot upgrades for all costs and requirements.

Nether Slayer and End Slayer paths#

Mob robots have two extra upgrade paths with three levels each:

PathCostsEffect per levelNeeds
Nether Slayer$250,000 / $500,000 / $750,000x1.1 Speed and x1.1 EfficiencyNether unlocked
End Slayer$750,000 / $1,500,000 / $2,250,000x1.1 Speed and x1.1 EfficiencyEnd unlocked

Tips#

  • Place Mob robots within their radius of a managed spawner: it is far stronger than hitting wandering mobs.
  • Raise Capacity and Radius to reap more spawners per cycle.
  • Use Nether Slayer and End Slayer paths for extra speed in those dimensions.
