Fishing Robot

The Fishing Robot fishes from nearby water and stores cod, salmon, pufferfish and tropical fish.

The Fishing Robot is one of the five robot types. It needs a water source within its radius and catches one fish per operation.

Getting it#

  • Reach level 5 in Fishing Mastery (any element), then unlock the fishing type in the Robot Shop for $15,000.
  • Buy a robot for $60,000. The rarity (Standard 75%, Legendary 20%, Mythic 5%) is rolled on purchase.
  • Deploy it on your island from its Manage Robot menu. The same Mastery level 5 is required to deploy.

What it does#

  • Needs a still water source block inside its radius with air or water above it. Without one the robot does nothing.
  • Each operation catches exactly one fish, picked from the weights below.
  • Has the slowest base interval of all robots: 20 seconds.
  • Does not give Fishing Mastery experience.

Output#

One fish per operation, chosen by weight: cod 60%, salmon 25%, pufferfish 13%, tropical fish 2%.

Work speed#

Base interval 20 seconds. The interval is divided by Speed x Efficiency x Activity Bonus x rarity Performance (Standard x1.0, Legendary x1.35, Mythic x1.75). The table assumes Speed, Efficiency and Activity Bonus are all at the level shown (each level multiplies by 1.1):

Upgrade level (each of the three)StandardLegendaryMythic

46.373 s4.720 s3.641 s
54.788 s3.547 s2.736 s

Capacity (x1.15 per level, rounded) is how many operations happen each time: 1 at base and levels 1 to 2, 2 operations at levels 3 to 5. Radius grows from 3 to 8 blocks and built-in storage from 1,728 to 4,608 items over five levels each. See robot upgrades for all costs and requirements.

Tips#

  • Build a small pool with a water source next to the robot.
  • The catch rates (cod 60, salmon 25, pufferfish 13, tropical fish 2) are fixed; upgrades only speed it up.
