Goldenvein is a KOTH enchant for Diamond Hoe hoes. When you harvest a fully grown crop, it has a chance to chain-harvest connected crops of the same kind, ripen the unripe ones in the chain on the spot and replant everything it cut.
How to get it#
KOTH is a rarity that is never sold for XP. Goldenvein comes from the KOTH rune, a reward (about 6% per opening) of the crate a KOTH key opens. You win a KOTH key by capturing the Inferno KOTH at Skyblock spawn. See Skyblock Crates and Enchant Rarities.
A KOTH rune gives one of the four Skyblock KOTH enchants (Goldenvein, Searcast, Unbroken and War Cache), each equally likely, so about 1 KOTH key opening in 66 gives Goldenvein. The book comes with a random level between I and XV; lower levels are more likely than higher ones (see the table below) and the book's success chance is random between 1% and 100%. Effect#
- You break a fully grown wheat, carrot, potato, beetroot or nether wart crop with a Goldenvein hoe in your main hand.
- Goldenvein rolls its chance for that crop.
- On success it finds crops of the same kind that are connected to the one you broke, nearest first, and harvests up to as many as the chain length of your level (see the table).
Connected crops are those touching sideways, above or below, or diagonally on the same level. Only the same kind of crop is chained. Crops in the chain that are not fully grown are ripened first and then harvested as ripe crops. Every harvested crop is replanted as a new seedling for free, without Seeder and without using seeds or nether wart.
The crop you broke counts as part of the chain. It comes right after its direct neighbours (the up to eight crops around it), so in a full field it takes the ninth place: from level IX up, the chain cuts one extra crop fewer than its length. When the chain reaches the crop you broke, that crop is replanted for free as well.
You see the message "Goldenvein chained a harvest across your field!" when it fires.
The extra crops:
- cost no durability;
- do not trigger Goldenvein or any other area enchant again and give no Cultivate XP;
- drop their items normally, so Bounty and Market deal with them like any other harvest;
- are only broken where you are allowed to build.

Notes and tips#
- Goldenvein ripens crops in the chain, so it can harvest part of a field that has just been planted.
- Chain length equals the level, so it is far smaller than the area of Windmill; its strength is that it ripens unripe crops as it goes and replants them for free.
