Treasure is an Uncommon enchant for Fishing Rod fishing rods. Each time you reel in a catch it has a chance, 4% per level, to hand you one extra item from a fixed list of sea and cave treasures, on top of the catch itself.
How to get it#
- Uncommon rune. An Uncommon rune costs 15,000 XP in the enchant shop. The Uncommon pool holds 12 enchants, so one Uncommon rune in twelve gives Treasure. The book has a random success chance and an unrevealed level; see Enchanted Books.
- Crate rods. Rods from limited-time lootboxes, such as the Summer Rod (levels 8-15), Sunset Rod (10-15) and Twilight Rod (12-15), come with Treasure at a random level in that range, well above the rune maximum. See crate rods.
Effect#
When a catch lands, the enchant rolls its chance. On success you receive one bonus item chosen at random from this list, with equal odds for each:
Nautilus Shell Nautilus Shell
Prismarine Shard Prismarine Shard
Prismarine Crystals Prismarine Crystals
Amethyst Shard Amethyst Shard
Emerald Emerald
The bonus is always a single item, whatever the level; level only raises the chance. It goes straight into your inventory, or drops at your feet if the inventory is full. The rod must be in your main hand. The bonus item is separate from the catch, so Big Catch, Twin Line and Fishmonger do not multiply or sell it.
Levels#
| Level | Chance per catch | Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| I | 4% | 1 item |
| II | 8% | 1 item |
| III | 12% | 1 item |
| IV | 16% | 1 item |
| V | 20% | 1 item |
The same 4% per level applies to crate rods above level V: levels 8 to 15 give 32% to 60%.
Notes and tips#
- A rune book reveals a random level from I to V, and the lower levels are the likelier ones; see level of the book.
- Treasure does not change how fast fish bite, how much XP you get or the size of the catch; it only adds the separate bonus item.
