Furnace is an Uncommon enchant for Diamond Pickaxe pickaxes. It smelts the drops of every mining block you break, so raw ore comes out as ingots without a furnace.
How to get it#
- Uncommon rune: 15,000 XP in the enchant shop. The Uncommon rune pool in Skyblock holds 12 enchants and each one is equally likely, so an Uncommon rune gives Furnace about 1 time in 12 (8.3%). Furnace has one level, so the book comes with the level already fixed.
- Crate pickaxes: pickaxes from limited-time lootboxes, such as the Summer, Sunset and Twilight Harvesters and their rarer versions, come with Furnace I. See Skyblock Crates and Custom Items.
Effect#
- You break a mining block (a stone type or an ore) with a Furnace pickaxe in your main hand.
- Furnace always applies. There is no chance roll and no cooldown.
- Every dropped item that has a furnace recipe is replaced by the smelted result, with the same stack size.
Examples: raw iron, raw copper and raw gold become ingots, cobblestone becomes stone, cobbled deepslate becomes deepslate, netherrack becomes nether bricks, basalt becomes smooth basalt and ancient debris becomes netherite scrap. Items without a furnace recipe, such as coal, diamonds or redstone, are left as they are. Smelting gives no XP.
Furnace also smelts the drops of blocks broken by Quarry and Tunnel.
Notes and tips#
- Furnace runs before every other drop enchant. Riches multiplies the smelted items, Cashout sells them and Collector picks up whatever is left.
- Cashout therefore sells ingots instead of raw ore when both enchants are on the pickaxe.
- The bonus ore from War Cache is added after Furnace has run, so it is not smelted.
