Orders (also called Player Jobs) are Survival's player-to-player request board. You post an order for an item, set a price per item in money or gems, and other players fill it from their inventories for that price. The same board lets you earn by filling the orders other players have posted.
- Command
- /orders (also /playerjobs)
- Open orders per player
- 1 by default; some ranks allow more
- Order expiry
- Orders do not expire
- Reward currencies
- Money, Gems
Opening the board#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/orders | Opens the Orders board |
/orders create | Starts creating a new order |
/playerjobs | Alias of /orders (also works as /playerjobs create) |
The Orders board lists every active order that is not yet completely filled, newest first, including your own. Each entry shows who requested it, the item, how much has been filled (for example 12/64), the price per item and total, and how long ago it was requested. In the bottom row, Nether Star Your Orders opens your own orders, and the
Book Orders book at the top opens the order creator.
Filling an order (earning)#
- Open
/ordersand click an order. - In the Filling Order menu choose
Chest Sell Entire Inventory to fill the order with as many matching items from your inventory as it still needs, or
Oak Sign Sell Item to type how many to sell (a whole number above 0).
- The items leave your inventory, you are paid the price per item for every item that was accepted, and chat shows
Filled Nx items.
Rules:
- You cannot fill your own order (
Cannot fill your own order). - You are only paid for what the order still needs. Any surplus is returned to your inventory.
- The items must match the requested item, and they are taken from your inventory slots (not your armor or off-hand).
- If you have none of the item, you see
You don't have enough items. - If the order was completely filled or deactivated before your items arrived, you see
Order not foundand keep your items. - You are paid in the currency of the order (money or gems).
Creating an order#
- Run
/orders create(or click theBook Orders book on the board).
- Select Item: browse, or use the
Name Tag Search button to filter the list by item name, and click the item. Items that cannot be obtained in normal play, such as bedrock, barriers and command blocks, are not listed.
- Type the quantity you want when prompted.
- Select Currency: choose
Gold Ingot Money or
Gold Ingot Gems and type the price per item.
- In Confirm order, check the item, amount, price per item and total, then click
Block of Emerald Confirm.
Block of Redstone Cancel closes the menu without posting.
The full price (price per item multiplied by quantity) is taken from your balance straight away and held in escrow until the order is filled or deactivated. If you cannot afford it you see Not enough money (the same message is used for gems). Chat confirms Order created.
Managing your orders#
Click Nether Star Your Orders at the bottom of the board to see every order you have posted, with its filled amount, price and whether it is still active. Click an order to manage it:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
Collects the items other players have delivered, even while the order is still open. Left-click redeems up to one stack; anything that does not fit in your inventory goes to your Overflow Backpack. Right-click redeems as many as fit in your free inventory space. Chat shows Redeemed Nx items | |
| Closes the order and takes it off the board. The part nobody has filled yet is refunded to you at the price you set. The button shows Inactive once the order is closed or completely filled | |
| Lists each delivery with the seller, the amount, the price and how long ago it happened |
Items that were already delivered stay yours to redeem after you deactivate an order. Right-clicking Redeem Items with no free space shows Inventory full. Once an order is completely filled or deactivated and you have redeemed every item, it leaves Your Orders; a deactivated order with nothing left to redeem leaves the list straight away.
Order limits#
The number of orders you can have open at once depends on your rank. A player with no rank can have 1 open order. Only open orders count: completely filled and deactivated orders do not use a slot, even while you still have items to redeem from them. Posting beyond your limit shows Order limit reached, list more orders concurrently by purchasing a higher rank.
| Rank | Open orders |
|---|---|
| No rank | 1 |
| Axolotl | 4 |
| Allay | 5 |
| Glare | 6 |
| Illusioner | 7 |
| Hoglin | 8 |
| Strider | 9 |
See Survival Ranks for the other perks of each rank.
Details and edge cases#
- Escrow and refunds: you pay the whole order up front. Filling pays the filler from that escrow, and deactivating refunds only the unfilled part.
- No expiry: Survival orders do not expire. An order stays on the board until it is completely filled or its owner deactivates it.
- Order currency: the order is paid and refunded in the same currency you chose when creating it. See Money and Gems.
- Other ways to trade: for selling items at a price you set without an order, see Auction House and Chest Shops on Survival.
