This page covers the ways to move around Survival: your own homes, teleporting to friends, the spawn and warps, and random teleport into the overworld, Nether, End and resource worlds. For the general versions of these commands see Homes, Teleporting and Warps.
Homes#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/sethome <name> | Save a home at your location |
/home | Open the list of your homes. Click one to teleport (alias /homes) |
/home <name> | Teleport to a home |
/delhome <name> | Delete a home |
- A home must be on solid ground and above Y -64: "Your home must be on the ground!" and "Your home must be above Y -64!"
- Setting a name you already use asks "Are you sure you want to override your current home" with Yes, override and Cancel.
- Homes work in the overworld, the Nether, the End and the resource worlds, but not in the PvP world or the AFK area ("You can't create homes here!"). Do not set homes in resource worlds: they reset every week.
- Inside someone else's claim you need their Create Home permission, otherwise "You can't set a home here." Outside claims anyone can set a home. See Claim Protections.
- Teleports start immediately. There is no warm-up on Survival, for homes or any other teleport on this page.
Home slots#
Every player can set at least one home. Ranks raise the limit:
| Rank | Home slots |
|---|---|
| Axolotl | 4 |
| Allay | 6 |
| Glare | 8 |
| Illusioner | 10 |
| Hoglin | 12 |
| Strider | 99 |
| Netherite | 99 |
Each rank's menu (for example /ranks-axolotl) lists its home slots. See Donor Ranks.
"You have reached the maximum amount of homes!" means you are out of slots. Delete a home or get a higher rank.
/back#
/back returns you to a previous location: where you teleported from, or where you died. It opens the Previous Locations menu; click an entry to teleport there. There is a 20 second cooldown between uses. It is a rank perk, from Axolotl up.
| Rank | Saved locations |
|---|---|
| Axolotl | 4 |
| Allay | 5 |
| Glare | 6 |
| Illusioner | 7 |
| Hoglin | 8 |
| Strider and Netherite | 9 |
Teleport requests#
Ask to go to another player, or ask them to come to you. Nothing happens until they accept.
| Command | Aliases | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/tpa <player> | Ask to teleport to them | |
/tpahere <player> | Ask them to teleport to you | |
/tpaccept [player] | /tpaaccept, /tpyes | Accept a request to teleport to you |
/tpahereaccept [player] | /tpaccepthere, /tpaaccepthere | Accept a request to teleport to the sender |
/tpadeny [player] | /tpano | Deny a request |
/tpaheredeny [player] | /tpadenyhere | Deny a here-request |
/tpacancel <player> | Cancel your request | |
/tpaherecancel <player> | /tpacancelhere | Cancel your here-request |
/tpatoggle | Turn incoming requests on or off | |
/tpignore <player> | Ignore teleport requests from a player | |
/tpunignore <player> | Stop ignoring a player | |
/tpignorelist | /tpignores | List the players you ignore |
/tpa history | /tpahistory | See your recent requests |
- The request message has a clickable accept link. A request expires after 30 seconds.
- You cannot request yourself, a player who disabled requests ("That player disabled their teleport requests!") or one who ignores you ("That player is ignoring your teleport requests!").
- Claim bans apply: a player banned from a claim cannot teleport into it. See Claim Bans.
- Members of your town can also use
/tp <player>. See Town Chat and Member Teleport.
Spawn and warps#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/spawn | Teleport to Survival spawn |
/warps | Open the Warps menu |
/warp <name> | Teleport to a named warp |
The Warps menu lists Spawn, Crates, PvP, Auction House and Custom Enchants. The three outposts have their own warps, see Town Boosters and Outposts. Player-made warps are separate, see Player Warps. Town warps are separate too, see Town Home and Warps.
Random teleport#
/rtp (alias /wild) teleports you to a random safe spot. It works from the overworld, the Nether, the End, the resource worlds and spawn, but not from the PvP world or the AFK area. /rtpmenu opens a menu with the same choices as buttons: Overworld, Nether and End, each with a normal world and a resource world.
| Command | Destination | Area (X and Z) |
|---|---|---|
/rtp or /rtp world | Overworld | -10,000 to 20,000 |
/rtp nether | Nether | -10,000 to 10,000 |
/rtp end | End | -10,000 to 10,000 |
/rtp resources | Overworld resource world | -2,500 to 2,500 |
/rtp nether-resources | Nether resource world | -2,500 to 2,500 |
/rtp end-resources | End resource world | -2,500 to 2,500 |
A random teleport lands you on a safe block, more than 32 blocks from any sector line or the world edge and at least 50 blocks from any other player. In the overworld it also avoids the square from -1,000 to 0 on both axes. If no safe spot is found you see "Can't find a safe position! Please try again in a few seconds."
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Cooldown | 10 seconds between random teleports |
| Time limit | A search that takes longer than 10 seconds is abandoned |
| Only one at a time | A second /rtp while one is running says "Another RTP is already in progress, please wait!" |
Biome teleport#
/rtp biome [world] [biome] (aliases /biomertp and /brtp) teleports you to a chosen biome in the overworld resource world. Without arguments it opens the Biome Teleport menu.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Cost | $25,000 per teleport |
| Mushroom Fields and Deep Dark | $100,000 |
| Cooldown | 5 minutes between biome teleports |
| Charged | Only after a safe spot is found. You are refunded if the teleport fails |
| Confirmation | A menu "Confirm biome teleport" with Pay $25,000 and teleport (or the biome's price) or Cancel, open for 45 seconds |
| Search | Looks within 512 blocks of a random point for the biome |
Biomes offered: Plains, Forest, Birch Forest, Dark Forest, Taiga, Jungle, Savanna, Desert, Badlands, Swamp, Mangrove Swamp, Snowy Plains, Cherry Grove, Mushroom Fields, Lush Caves, Dripstone Caves and Deep Dark. While your cooldown runs, each biome shows when you can teleport again.
Other movement commands#
| Command | Notes |
|---|---|
/top | Teleport to the highest block above you. Listed from Hoglin up |
/bottom | Teleport to the lowest block below you. Listed on Strider and Netherite |
/near | See nearby players. Listed from Hoglin up |
Both /top and /bottom pass through solid blocks, so they are blocked inside someone else's claim. See Claim Protections.
