Player Warps are public teleports that players create for their own builds: farms, grinders, shops, bases or showcases. Anyone can open the directory with /pw, teleport to a warp for free and rate it from 1 to 5 stars. Creating a warp needs a claim, and the number of warps you can own depends on your rank.
Quick start#
- Stand inside a claim where you may create homes, see Claim Permissions.
- Run
/pw set <name>. You see "Warp <name> created!" - Run
/pwto open the directory, then Manage Warps to rename it, pick an icon, move it or add tags. - Share the name: anyone can teleport with
/pw <name>.
Commands#
The command is /pw. The same command also answers to /pwarp, /pwarps, /playerwarp and /playerwarps. The server warps from /warp are a different system, see Warps.
| Command | Aliases | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/pw | Open the Player Warps directory | |
/pw <warp> | Teleport to a warp: "Teleporting to warp <warp>..." | |
/pw set <name> | create | Create a warp at your location |
/pw delete <name> | del | Delete one of your warps: "Warp <name> deleted!" |
/pw move <name> | relocate | Move one of your warps to where you stand, keeping its visits and ratings |
/pw who <warp> | Show the owner: "Warp <warp> is owned by <owner>." |
Warp names are unique across the whole server, so you cannot use a name that another player already has: "Warp <name> already exists!" A name is one word of 1 to 32 characters with no spaces. A name that does not exist gives "Warp <name> not found!"
Creating a warp#
A warp can only be created or moved inside a claim where you hold the Create Home permission. That is every claim you own, plus any claim whose owner has opened Create Home to you. By default the permission belongs to the owner, guests and town residents, so strangers cannot put a warp on your land. See Claim Permissions and Land Claims.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Place | Inside a claim. Warps do not work in unclaimed land, spawn or the resource worlds |
| Worlds | Overworld, Nether and End |
| Permission | Create Home in that claim |
| Free slot | You must be under your warp limit, see below |
| Name | Not already taken, 1 to 32 characters, no spaces |
If any rule fails you see "You cannot create a warp here!" If you are at your limit you see "You have reached the maximum amount of warps!"
Warps are separate from your personal homes. See Homes and Teleports for homes and Town Home and Warps for town warps.
Warp limit#

- Deleting a warp frees its slot straight away.
The directory#
/pw opens the Player Warps menu.
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Warp list | Up to 21 warps per page, with page arrows. Sorted by average rating (highest first), then by visits |
| Sponsored row | Five slots along the top, see Sponsored slots below |
| Select Tags (name tag) | Filter the list by tag |
| Manage Warps (chest) | Open the list of your own warps |
Each warp is shown with its name, the world it is in, its coordinates, the owner, its visit count, its average rating in stars and its tags. Its icon is the item its owner chose, or paper if they did not choose one. Click a warp to open the Teleport/Rate menu.
Teleport/Rate menu#
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Teleport (ender eye) | Teleport to the warp |
| Rate (name tag) | Open the rating menu. You cannot rate your own warp: "You cannot rate your own warp!" |
Filtering by tag#
Click Select Tags and click each tag you want. Selected tags are marked Selected. Close the menu and the directory shows only warps that carry at least one of the selected tags. Deselect all of them to see everything again.
Teleporting and visits#
Teleporting to a player warp is free. There is no cooldown and no warm-up on Survival, so it starts immediately.
- Every successful teleport adds 1 to the warp's Visits, including your own. The count is shown in the directory and breaks ties between equally rated warps. It has no other effect: owners are not paid for visits.
- "Can't teleport at this time!" means the teleport was refused.
- "Unable to resolve <warp>! Please try again in a few seconds." means the warp's world or server could not be found right now. Try again shortly.
- If the warp sits in a claim whose owner has banned you, the teleport is refused. See Land Claims.
Ratings#
Rate a warp from the Teleport/Rate menu. Pick one of five blocks:
| Rating | Block | Description shown |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Star | Red concrete | "Your experience was poor." |
| 2 Stars | Yellow concrete | "Your experience was below-average." |
| 3 Stars | Lime concrete | "Your experience was average." |
| 4 Stars | Green concrete | "Your experience was great." |
| 5 Stars | Light blue concrete | "Your experience was perfect." |
- You see "Rated <warp> with <n> stars!" and the menu closes. The rating is saved when the menu closes.
- Your current rating glows and says Selected.
- The number on a warp is the average of its ratings, and a warp nobody has rated shows 0. The average decides where the warp sits in the directory.
- You can rate any warp except your own, and you do not have to visit it first.
Managing your warps#
Open /pw, click Manage Warps and click the warp you want. The Player Warps > Manage > <warp> menu has these buttons.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rename (anvil) | Opens a prompt called Rename Warp. Type the new name. It must be 1 to 32 characters with no spaces: "Warp name must be between 1 and 32 characters, and cannot contain spaces!" On success: "Warp renamed to <name>!" |
| Change Icon (sign) | Opens an item picker with a Search button. Pick any vanilla item. The choice is marked Selected and the menu closes. "Updated <warp>'s icon!" |
| Change Position (ender pearl) | Moves the warp to where you stand, with the same claim rules as creating one: "Changed <warp>'s position to your current location!" |
| Change Tags (name tag) | Pick the tags for the warp. "Updated <warp>'s tags!" |
Moving a warp keeps its visits, ratings, icon and tags. Deleting and recreating one starts from zero. /pw move <name> does the same as Change Position.
Tags#
| Tag | Icon | Meant for |
|---|---|---|
| Farm | Carrot | "A farming location." |
| Grinder | Nether wart | "A grinding location." |
A warp can carry both tags, either one or none. Tags are what the directory filter uses.
Sponsored slots#
The five slots in the top row of the directory are Sponsored Slots. A warp that rents one is pinned there as a Sponsored Warp, shown as a nether star (or the icon its owner chose) with the warp name between two stars, so it is the first thing players see. Slots are paid for in Gems, see Gems.
| Slot | Price | Rental length |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10 Gems | 1 hour |
| 2 | 50 Gems | 6 hours |
| 3 | 125 Gems | 1 day |
| 4 | 250 Gems | 3 days |
| 5 | 500 Gems | 7 days |
Renting a slot#
- Open
/pwand click an empty slot. Empty slots are white glass named Sponsored Slot #N and show the price and duration. - In Rent Sponsored Slot, click one of your warps to select it. It turns green with "Selected". Click it again to deselect.
- Click Confirm Rental. It shows the warp, the slot, the cost and the duration. With no warp chosen the button reads Select a Warp.
- You see "Successfully rented sponsored slot #N for <warp>". The Gems are taken at once.
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "You don't have enough gems balance to rent this slot!" | Not enough Gems |
| "This slot is no longer available!" | Someone rented it first |
| "This warp is already being sponsored!" | That warp already holds a slot |
- You can only sponsor your own warps, and one warp can hold only one slot at a time.
- A slot stays taken until its rental time ends. When it ends, the slot opens for anyone to rent again.
- Clicking an occupied slot opens that warp's Teleport/Rate menu.
- There is no cancel button in the menu.
Messages#
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "You cannot create a warp here!" | Not in a claim you can use, wrong world, or a spot that cannot be saved |
| "You have reached the maximum amount of warps!" | At your limit |
| "Warp <name> already exists!" | Name taken |
| "Warp <name> not found!" | No warp with that name |
| "You don't own this warp!" | You ran /pw delete or /pw move on someone else's warp |
| "Unknown error. Please try again in a few seconds." | Something failed. Try again |
