The Battery is the power source for battery-powered blocks. Each Battery carries a duration, shown in its lore, and adds that much running time to a block when you use it.
How to get it#
A Battery is a reward and shop item in Survival with a printed duration:

Rewards
- Lootboxes: the battery duration varies by lootbox
- Mystery vault: 30 days (x3); 365 days
- Rank kits: Hoglin 5 minutes, Strider 10 minutes, Netherite and Custom 15 minutes (see Store and Rank Perks)
- The Battery Finder enchant can drop Batteries while you mine
How to use it#
- Right-click the block to open its menu.
- Pick up a Battery with your cursor and click the Battery button in the menu.
- The Battery is used up and its duration is added to the block's remaining time. The button shows "Remaining time" or "Depleted".
You cannot place a Battery as a block.
