Battery Finder is a Legendary enchant for Diamond Pickaxe pickaxes. Every block you break with it has a very small chance to hand you a Battery, the power item for battery-powered blocks. It has twenty levels, and each one adds a little to the chance.
How to get it#
Battery Finder comes from the Legendary rune. A Legendary rune costs 200,000 XP in the enchant shop and turns into an enchanted book with one of the 31 Legendary enchants in Survival, picked at random, so each rune has a 1 in 31 chance of being Battery Finder. Effect#
Each block you break with the enchanted pickaxe in your main hand rolls the enchant's chance, which is 0.001% per level. The block does not matter: stone, dirt and ore all count. On a success you receive one Battery straight into your inventory (it drops at your feet if the inventory is full) and the title "BATTERY FOUND!" appears with the subtitle "You found a battery while mining".
The Battery is chosen at random with equal odds from four sizes:

Levels#
The chance per broken block grows by 0.001% with each level. Selected levels:

The averages are the long-run figure; any single Battery can come much sooner or later.
Notes and tips#
- Blocks broken by Blast Mining or Vein Miner roll Battery Finder too, one roll per block. Large cubes and veins multiply the number of rolls.
- A Battery found this way adds the printed running time to a battery-powered block such as a chunk loader or hopper; see Battery.
- Lower levels are more likely when a rune book is revealed (level of the book), so a high level takes several books.
