A claim ban keeps a player out of your land. Banned players are moved out when they walk in and cannot teleport into the banned claims. Bans cover either all of your claims or one claim.
Commands#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/claim ban <player> | Bans the player from every claim you own (scope "All My Claims") |
/claim banhere <player> | Bans the player only from the claim you are standing in (scope "Per Claim") |
/claim unban <player> | Removes an all-claims ban |
/claim unbanhere <player> | Removes the per-claim ban for the claim you are standing in |
/claim bans | Opens the Banned Players menu |
The Banned Players menu is also reachable from /claim global. It lists each banned player with the scope of their ban ("All My Claims", or "Per Claim" with the chunk coordinates). Click a head to lift that ban. The Ban from all claims button asks for a "Player Name" in a prompt titled "Ban Player" and adds an all-claims ban.
What happens to a banned player#
- Walking in: when they cross into a banned claim they are moved back to where they came from and see "You are banned from <owner>'s claims."
- Teleporting in: homes, player warps, teleport requests and any other teleport into a banned claim are refused: "You cannot teleport into <owner>'s claims while banned."
- Already inside: a banned player who is already standing in the claim (for example when the ban is added) is moved out the next time they move, onto the surface of an unclaimed chunk next to it, or to the world spawn if every neighbouring chunk is claimed.
- Gliding and momentum are cancelled when they are moved, so they are not stuck in a fall.
- The claim owner and the guests added to that claim are never affected, even if they are on your ban list. Global guests are not exempt.
