Compressed Miner is a Legendary enchant for Diamond Pickaxe pickaxes. Each time you break a block that drops items, it compresses the items in your inventory into storage blocks, for example nine iron ingots into one iron block.
How to get it#
Compressed Miner comes from the Legendary rune. A Legendary rune costs 200,000 XP in the enchant shop and turns into an enchanted book with one of the 31 Legendary enchants in Survival, picked at random, so each rune has a 1 in 31 chance of being Compressed Miner. Compressed Miner has a single level, so its book needs no level reveal.
Effect#
When you break a block with the enchanted pickaxe in your main hand and the block drops items, Compressed Miner waits one tick (a twentieth of a second) and then compresses everything compressible in your inventory. Only complete sets are compressed: with 20 iron ingots you get 2 iron blocks and keep 2 ingots.
It only compresses items that can be crafted into a storage block and back into the same number of items, such as iron, gold and copper ingots, diamonds, emeralds, lapis lazuli, redstone, coal and raw ore. Other items are left alone. It works on your whole inventory, not just the new drops, and it does not follow the filter of the Condenser Wand.
Notes and tips#
- It acts on items that are already in your inventory, so it pairs with Telekinesis, which puts the drops there. Without Telekinesis the drops lie on the ground and are compressed only after you pick them up and break another block.
- It runs once for the block you break yourself. Blocks broken by Vein Miner or Blast Mining do not start it, but their drops are in your inventory by the time it runs, so one trigger covers the whole batch when Telekinesis is on.
- With Smelter on the same pickaxe, ore drops are smelted into ingots first and then compressed into blocks.
