Survival's tiered quest lines for mining, farming, woodcutting, butchery and fishing, which pay money and Vote Keys as you play.
Quests are Survival's tiered goals. Each quest asks you to do one thing many times, such as mine diamond ore, harvest wheat or catch fish. Every quest has five tiers: when you reach a tier's target you are paid its reward and the quest moves on to the next, harder tier. Quests track your progress automatically, so there is nothing to start, accept or switch on.
Run /quests (alias /q) to open Quest Categories. It shows five categories, each with the number of quests you have completed in it:

Click a category to open its quest list. Each quest is shown with its icon and name, your current tier out of 5, a progress bar, your progress towards the tier target (for example Progress: 120/250) and the rewards for the current tier. A finished quest has its name crossed out and reads All tiers completed. Every category fits on one page; the Back arrow returns to the categories.
Automatic progress: doing the activity advances every quest that matches it. For example, breaking a diamond ore advances Diamond Miner.
Where: progress counts in every Survival world, including the resource worlds, the Nether and the End.
Tiers: a quest has 5 tiers. Each tier has its own target. Reaching it pays that tier's reward, and the next tier starts counting from 0; progress past the target does not carry over. The progress shown is for the current tier only.
Notifications: progress appears in the action bar (quest name | progress/target with a bar), and a boss bar shows the quest you just advanced. The boss bar hides 5 seconds after your last progress, or when the tier completes. When a tier is finished you get a TIER n COMPLETE! title, a sound and a chat message listing the rewards. Finishing the fifth tier shows QUEST COMPLETE! and Congratulations! You completed <quest>!.
Display options: the Quest Progress Bar option turns off the action bar progress display and Quest Progress Bossbar turns off the boss bars. Both are in the options menu: see Settings and Options.
New players: until you make progress on your first quest, a boss bar reading Quests | Type /quests to get started! shows for 10 seconds when you join.
Rewards: paid straight to you when the tier completes. If the reward includes a Vote Key, it goes to your inventory like any other key: see Crates for what it opens.
No time limit: quests have no daily or weekly refresh and do not expire. A finished quest cannot be repeated.
Every quest in a category pays the same rewards at each tier, and the amounts grow with the tier. Tiers 1 to 3 pay money. Tier 4 adds 1 Vote Key and tier 5 adds 3 Vote Keys, except that Fishing quests pay money only at tier 4. Vote Keys open the Vote Crate: see Crates and Voting.
Break the listed ore and stone blocks. There are 11 quests in this category, each with five tiers.
Each Overworld ore quest counts its ore and the deepslate version of it (for example Coal Miner counts coal ore and deepslate coal ore). Quartz Miner counts Nether quartz ore, Nether Gold Miner counts Nether gold ore and Obsidian Breaker counts obsidian. Stone Miner counts stone, deepslate, cobblestone and cobbled deepslate. Blocks placed by a player in the last day do not count.
